I was wondering which of the lights would be brighter.

I would actually like to see the pics of the lights. If they match the blue of the under dash lights I'm gonna order a set...

I had really good luck w/ http://www.v-leds.com/
quick shipping and great white output for all my interior lights , including vanity mirrors and license plate. Very good spread and pattern output, superior to cheapy options

I have the white LED dome lights right now, it does look blue after installing it...

The 1W diode (second link) will be brighter by virtue that it puts out a higher lumen value, the other one states 0.2 W and will be much lower lumen output, the fact that there are more of lower lumen LEDs only means more light, NOT brighter light.

Probably asked and answered elsewhere, but.....
Is it as simple as replacing the existing bulb with an LED bulb and BAM--instant beauty?

yep! as long as you have the polarity correct (if it was wrong, you simply flip the festoon bulb or wedge around. I actually pulled my interior light fuse , put them all in and then put the fuse back in. I had to turn 2 lights around...and all was well.
