Bought this car in Sept. 07. Just noticed the lug nuts are showing signs of rust (wheels never been removed yet since car was purchased) and rims are showing signs of pitting already around tire bead and even on edges of spokes. What the f%*&!!!!

My 93 accord rims lasted several years before showing any similar signs. Even my 97 4Runner rims and lugs only started showing these signs a few years ago.

I rinse off the car at least weekly during the winter months....this seem a LOT premature!!!!

Uh, is this an intentional double post (the other one is on the 7th Gen)? If so this is the second time today I've seen.........

Don't double post as this will unwittingly scatter the responses.

Ive got an 07 EX-L v6 sedan and I am having the same problem. I picked it up new in Jan 08 and my lug nuts are rusting and there are also rust spots on my wheels. Im wondering if the dealer will replace my lug nuts and wheels if I complain with my carpet problem.

Does anyone have any pictures? I noticed rust around the lugnuts on my coupe when I installed my wheel locks months ago...

We bought a 2007 Accord in Sept. 06. We were very concerned about the wheels as we took a hit on our 99 Accord trade-in, because of corrosion on the wheels. We were told that it wasn't a problem,"now". We baby our vehicle and love Honda, but even though we followed services' recommendation of waxing the rims, the corrosion started inside and worked its way out. All 4 were replaced in Sept. 07 under warranty, the replacements are corrroding again (6 months). We wash our car at least once a week. We are are in discussion with Customer Service. Honda can do better!!!!!:dunno:

Vernobc, my wheels are doing the exact same thing. What did you say/do to get them to replace the wheels under warranty? We all know how the conversation with the dealer will go, it's like pulling teeth to get them to fix a problem that is not your fault...

I have this problem on maybe 3 or 4 lugs now but as the miles pile up I dont care as long as they are functional.
