To anyone who has changed the perch setting (keeping the spring and everything else the same), how did it affect your "Ride Quality"? Please only responses from those who have ridden in a vehicle where this was done or who are suspension technicians.
In other words ...... With a progressive rate spring, would the ride with the perch at it's lowest setting, be softer or harder that with the perch at it's highest setting? Logic would lead me to believe that with the perch at it's lowest setting, the ride would be softer that if it were at it's highest setting due to the spring not being compressed as much on the strut. Or would the weight of the vehicle negate this? :dunno:
I'm aware of spring bind, stiffness of the spring and the stroke distance & valve setting of the Koni will affect the ride quality, so don't take those into consideration for this question. Only consider the location of the spring perch on the strut.
