Coupe Owners

I am considering purchasing an 08 coupe, 4cyl mt. I have been reading a lot about the 8th gen accord having crappy headlights that can barely light up the road. Most of these comments have been from sedan owners however, and I know the coupe has different headlights. Do the projectors make any difference? Do you coupe owners have any problems with the stock low beam setup?

No problems here! I drive on the freeway either early morning or late at night every day and haven't had any issues with not seeing the road ;)

Compared to all the other hondas ive had the headlights on my coupe are awsome!!!

they really are great, as all of us with coupes wish though...HIDs stock would have been the best

wow, thanks guys. I guess the coupe headlights are better. Is there anything else you think I should know about before going ahead and buying one of these bad boys?

they are projectors...projectors have many benefits, one of them usually being brighter and more focused output vs. open halogen reflector based lighting assemblies

I love 'em! It's the driving lamps that I think are a little underwhelming.

there are lots of complaints about the coupe headlights because people wish they came with stock HID's. In comparison to every other non HID car i have driven the lights on the 08 coupe are the brightest I have seen.

even with just stock headlights, you can see the cutoff line. but i had some trouble in the rain and in fog. so i opted out for some HIDs. no complains here..

What the others have said. . . the head lights work fine. The cutoff was a little low for my liking so I raised them up just a degree or two. But I did the same thing on the halogen reflectors on my 03 & 06 sedans, too. Otherwise, they have a nice wide, solid pattern. The foglights are not as good as the 7th gen. The deeply recessed mounting barely allows the light to go outside of the lane that you're in.
