My tires I have suck. Really badly. So I will be looking for new ones soon. But I have no idea what to get. I don't even know what kind of selection I will have. Price really isn't a concern, so I'm open to almost anything. I'm hoping to get something that will handle decently, but I also need traction in the rain, if all that makes sense! Remember, my rims are not the biggest! I believe that they are 195/60-14, IIRC. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm running the Bridgestone Potenza G009 right now, and I have found them to be a fantastic wet/dry tire. It's also the highest rated tire on the tire rack's website for all-season use on the Accord (which is what I searched). My 96 has them in 195/60/15 from, Firestone Complete Auto Care installed them for around $500 I think. If you've got one of those around you, I recommend them for tires. You can get a total cost sheet off their website at http://www.firestonecompleteautocare.com/ with a guaranteed price with install etc. I made my appointment on there and everything.

I loved the drastic increase in handling that I got from switching to the Potenzas and they have a great price!

lol yea.

I've got some cheap Firestone tires that the last owner had put on right before I bought the 86. I believe they were only like 350 installed. Probably won't get anything more than 40k miles out of them, but for cheapo tires, I have to say they're pretty darn quiet and smooth. Not much for grip though.

I just ordered the Bridgestone Potenza G009's today. I went to the local tire shop, and they had one kind of tire that would fit my car, and it was some brand that I have never heard of before. I think it was "Summit" or something like that. I was like, "Um, can you order me these?" Thankfully, they had no problem with ordering a brand that they don't carry. (It's a Goodyear place). They gave me the price of $380 and some change. And that includes everything, balance, alignment, valves, etc. So it was a lot cheaper than I feared it would be.

Thanks for the helpful info Accordlover!!!

Awesome news!

Can't wait to hear what you think of them. I'm itching to get some 99-00 Civic SI wheels and wrap them in the potenzas soon for the 86.
