Some pics of my 6speed EXL Coupe. Im waiting on my H&R springs to drop it 1.5 inches for now. I just cancelled my back order for the eibach 1.2 inch drop kit and placed an order with H&R instead. Will probably have to wait an extra month now but would rather the 1.5 inches than the 1.2 inches. These cars have a huge wheel well gap and make my 19's look like 17's. May drop it more later when some nice Coil overs come out for the car. For now Eibach and H&R is all i could find that is comming out in the next few weeks. There were only 35 6 speed manual EXL coupe's in the country when I bought this car in November. I was told there would be more by Feb 08, but they would always be limited.

Some other mods Ive done to the car since November.

Full Stereo Rockford Fostgate and Boston Acoustic.
Clifford Alarm
HFP Body kit
19x8 and 19x9.5 Rims
Blacked out rear lights
HID's in the headlights and Fog lights
5% tints

Cant wait to drop it to give it the finishing touch. Then its GAME OVER!

how did you black out the rear lights?? that looks tight!!

They were tinted. It looks like thick window tint they cut to fit. The tint is made for this type of application. I had it done at a tinting shop for $80. Made a big difference on the look I think.

The aero kit, those rims, the black paint... it all came together very well.

My car turns heads, but I can only imagine driving in that. Get a good alarm system.

I think he has the HFP kit. I agree the kit on the photo looks cool though. The front portion, at least. I like the HFP side skirts better.

The car does of the HFP body kit.

I was referring to KITT as in Knight Industry Two Thousand ;)

Its funny that you said that, because i was considering putting a flashing red LED in the lower grill like KITT.

I live in Miami so trust me Alarm was the first thing I did. My engine and tranny would end up in an integra or civic down here faster than you can imagine. If you turn your the head the wrong way for a second it would be gone. Clifford and Glock 27 FTW! Garage helps too! By the way I do have the full HFP body kit on there same as your car.

welcome to DA! ..I've seen your car posted around the internet forums and such...

nice to know that you grabbed your HFP kit off the internet/ebay dealers and then applied it... 950$ shipped def isn't too shabby, I assume it came in black, thus no need to prep/paint before install.

I also liked that you did 2 HID kits , but for where I'd live, id need to keep 'fog' functionality and go with a 3000k kit for the fogs (ion yellow is a good cutter for any fog, hence 24 hours of Rolex and other road race series that run at night)

keep us posted on your mod's!

Those inserts are part of the HFP front Lip. The Fog lights are relocated when you install the HFP front lip.

Thanks for all the nice comments....Im working on lowering the car now. Been looking for springs since day one. Eibach and H&R finally have kits comming out now. I went with the H&R 1.5 inch drop. It is still on back order right now Hopefully I will have it installed in the next month. I will post pics once its lowered.

Yes the kit comes prepainted. There is alot of work involved to install the front lip though. There is some cutting of the front bumper and relocating of the fog lights involved. I def would reccomend having a professional do it if your not good with that kind of stuff. $950 was an excellent price for the kit shipped from Honda of Tecluma in California. They were very friendly and have great prices for everything i checked on through them. I also bought my Honda trunk liner and All season floor mats from them which i reccomend for every Honda owner to buy for there car, I love them.

Nahh..Not rich...Im making car payments like everybody els. If i was rich I wouldnt be driving an accord! LOL Mods mostly went on credit and im renting. Im in the real estate business and we all know real estate has had better days. Market is crap right now. I actually had to pick up a 2nd job recently cause times are slow. Just trying to weather the storm. I probably spent more than i should have to be honest. I am a little on the complusive spending side.

the car looks sick man. i have the same ride xcept with the 5AT. I have been trying to find a pic with some black 19s on the nighthawk black. they look sick but youre right they dont seem to look like 19s. however, i dont think the accord would fit 20s very comfortably. how did you deal with the TPMS with those wheels? this is something i have been unable to find decent info about. anyway, sweet ride man. i hope to have mine hooked up like that sometime soon.

oh yeah what do you think of the factory spoiler?

Thanks for the comments.....I have seen an 08 sedan with 22's on it down here. I think it looked weird though and im sure the car is working too hard to turn those things. As for the TPMS Just took the sensors out of the stock wheels and put them in the new wheels. No problem there at all they come right out. You have to take your stock tires off the stock rims and remove the sensors to reuse them in the new wheels. You can ride without them but your gonna get a trouble code on your dash that may be annoying. I love the HFP body kit. I got it for $950 shipped on ebay from a honda dealer in California. I had it installed at my local dealer. It is a tricky install with alot of cutting involved. I dont reccomend installing it youself unless you know what your doing. It is different than previous year spoiler installs. You have to cut the front and rear bumpers and relocate the fog lights in the front bumper. I was actually considering upgrading to 20's. the car will fit them perfectly. I think im going to wait for my spring kit first and see how it looks lowered before i make any final descions on that though. I ordered an H&R spring kit that should be here in a few weeks hopefully. No spring kits available at this time yet but eibach and H&R should have them available sometime by the end of this month or next month.

So you decided to switch over to H&R.. I think they'll make you're car look good since I think the HFP kit and eibach are way to minimal for your setup. Let us know how it goes..

Yeah..I think your the one who pointed that out to me that H&R had a kit comming out next month with a 1.5 inch drop. I was just gonna settle with the Eibach drop at 1.2 inches because I was being impatcient. I called Summit and cancelled my eibach order right after I read your post and then placed an order for my H&R kit with there local distrubutor here in Miami. Thanks for the info. I will post pics once its installed. I paid $260 for the h&r springs and they want $150 to install them.

Yeah black is a pain in the ass. You see everything!! Its so annoying. I have to wash it or at least wipe it down everyday to keep it looking on point. I would have done silver too. I was dead set on 6speed manual though and they only had 2 of them and they had no idea when they would have more. I would have done white too but I had to have Black leather guts and you cant get white with black interior. I dont like lite color interior shows dirt too easily. Black FTW!

Did you get your wheels online or local? What kind are they?

jblaust
02-20-2008, 06:26 PM
I bought them local. They arent any big name brand. I dont remember the name brand but there is a similar pair on www.rpmwheels.com model is r-505. Those arent exactly what I have but very similar. I have more rivets along the inside lip in my rims. I paid $1700 with rims and tires mounted/balanced. 19x8 and 19x9.5. . No issues at all. Waiting to get my eibach springs in a couple of weeks and have the car lowered and aligned. I will post pics when it is done. I bought my wheels at a place called wheel world here in miami,fl. There is a place out of california called www.superbuytire.com that you can get good deals through shipped.

jblaust

Im not sure...I could have gone darker, but I chose not too. They are probably 15% if i had to guess. 5% on the windows which is as dark as you can go.

Nice pics. I placed an order for the same car(black on black, V6 with navi and body kit) which should come w/in 2 weeks. I found a place to tint my windows and tail lights too. Hopefully they do a good job. I was thinking about getting the clearbra too since scratches to black cars are so easily noticed.

You should take more pix and post. I'd love to see and get some ideas for my coupe!
