EX-L Driving Light Question(s)

Noticed on a couple EX-L V6 photos, there appears to be what looks like a black liner in the housing of the driving lights. I have not seen it on all EX-L V6 pics, and was wondering if this was an option that I had not identified yet.

Also, is it possible to modify the driving lights with a HID kit?

And yes HID can be installed, even though alot of HID haters will state that they glare which they do a bit, but nothing bad.

on the coupe, it should be fine. there are a lot of options and different route you can take. Simple PnP, Retro, expensive PnP. for me.. i jsut went with the simple (cheap) PnP kit from ebay. well worth it though. there are a lot posts including some step by step instructions on how to do the installation. good luck!

Regarding the black insert for the driving light housing...here is a post from a different thread on this board....although it is on a black coupe, if you look close at the first pic you should be able to see them. I will see if I can find another pic on a different colored car.

Doug, I think it's just the angle the pic is taken from, with glare, sunlight, the camera all playing a factor.

There is no difference's between the 4's and 6's interms of projector halogen housings or DRL reflectors (the DRL is actually just the high beam with 5 watts pumped through it)

No one yet has yet to open up their lights (bake and pry) that we know of, at least on here.

If I did do that, it would be to blacken out or remove the side bright orange reflector that many on here have done w/ photoshop tools...and imho, it looks really tough!

What appears to be a black liner in the foglight housing is part of the HFP body kit. The EXL-V6 foglights don't have that on the car itself without the optional body kit.

The reflector on the side of the headlight housing is orange. It's just a kind of filter that the camera is using.

I'm pretty sure that the original poster is asking about the bezels around the foglights and whether or not it's possible to install HID fogs.
I don't think it has anything to do with DRLs, refectors, or headlights.

He is talking about the fog lights. The black insert is part of the HFP front lip kit. The fog lights actually get reloacted when you install the HFP front lip.

And yes i do have HID's in my fog lights and I have no problems with the brightness or angle. Im not blinding other drivers either. Somebody on here pointed out that if you live in a foggy area if your going with HID's in the fog lights you should use the yellow ones because they work better for the fog. Im in Miami it is very rarley foggy and the fog lights are just additional light for me at night. I didnt like the contrast of the my HID headlights and the halogen Fog lights so I went ahead and put matching HID's in the Fogs too so it would all match at night.

There's no problem with Coupe, as it already has projectors. It's the 4 doors Sedans that have reflectors that are the problem.
