8th gen sound question

I have a question about the 8th gen premium sound system vs.. the regular sound system.

Is the only difference the subwoofer that comes with the premium? Beside the power to the sub, is there any difference of the power output to the rest of the speakers.

Also is there any difference in the actual speaker quality? I'm thinking of replacing the speakers in my premium system to some kind of after market's spending around $100 a pair, would that make any difference?

Not unless you hook up an amplifier to them..You wont notice any kid of real difference without an amp. You need Hi Lo adapters hooked to your factory radio to use an amp.

There has to be a difference of power output, ive sat in my parents ex-l's and even with the sub on its lowest setting it still blows the regular system out of the water....i cant wait to add an amp to mine, im going to keep all the oem functionality (steering wheel, display, etc)
