pretty impressed. i decided to go ahead and treat the rental camry to a little tlc. figured it would give me an oppoortunity to see how well this stuff works on swirl marks (since i have yet to have a car with any major swirl marks!)

i'm pretty impressed. here's a hood shot from after the washing, but before the one coat of aio i put on it:

and an after. note-i couldn't get the remaining swirls to even show up in any shots. the lighting around here stinks today (very overcast!). there is still evidence of the swirls, but they are siginificantly dimished after just one coat of aio! :)

Wow, that is a HUGE difference. Look at the light bulb reflection. It's probably good that the pictures were indoors, because the lighting would be the same for good comparison.
Where did you buy it?

i got it online.

this is the kit i bought the first time...

i'm still on the first bottle of the interior stuff (v-l-r). i love it because it doesn't make everything shiny or slick, just nice and clean looking. and it seems to repel dust pretty good as well! which is a HUGE help witht he black interior! it also works nicely on the tires, but i'm not a fam of the plastic looking fake shine that most products give. this just makes them look new.

the wheel cleaner didn't last too long, but i think my husband used most of it trying to de-gunk the sentra..... i didn't really need it for my wheels!

i had to order more aio after doing my old civic a couple of times and the accord and letting him use it on the sentra.

the sealant glaze is still pretty much full.

i imagine the swirl marks would be even less apparent if i put a second coat of aio on there and followed up with a coat of sg, but it's a rental and a toyota and i'm not THAT bad!
:D

Hehe, plus, that was very smart to try it out on the rental! I'll have to remember to try some experiments next time I have one - besides the usual driving the bejeezus out of it experiments.

The best time I had with a rental was with a Home Depot truck - a Ford F-Series that for some reason had the V10 engine. Silly Home Depot. I bet they have to get new rear tires for it every week.

well, it beats purposefully putting swirl marks on my car to try it out! ;)

yeah, i floored the neon a few times while i was graced with it's presence..... it made some gawd-awful sounds....

i'm a little more sane with the camry though! i'm supposed to drive it like i'm a grandpa, right?! :D

Did you have a 16.9 oz bottle of Klasse AIO .... That should do about 40-50 coats or more... SG should even last longer....... and you should wait at least 24 hour between coats for cross linking to occur properly with SG

For those interested in Klasse here is a good link for Kit...

if you order use discount code detailcity for 10% off....

i had a little small bottle of the aio, maybe 10oz?? the husband used too much...

oh, and on the one bottle of aio-i can't even remember how many times i did the civic.... kinda sad! but i did it once, then decided i should clay it. then i went thru the process again. then it ended up smeary (didn't wait long enough between coats i think) so i started over again. then i decided to trade it in and re-did the entire thing to make it look as good as i could for the trade in process... (and of course i rained the day i took it out to get a figure for the trade!! ) and i may have done it more in there as well.....

then i think i did something much the same when i first got the accord.

add to that when i let my husband (ex yet?) use it on his car...

so now i'm on a second bottle of aio. the sg is holding up alot longer because for one it seems alot easier ot control the amount since it's so thin. and two, i usually end up putting only one coat on, and 3, the husband hasn't touched it. ;)

the interior v-l-r is lasting forever as well (i've been using it on my tires even). i don't think i've used hardly anyof the bottle and generally i've been using it on the inside, maybe once a month, and on the tires every other wash or so! :D

AIO has no swirl removing agents, so you really just covered up the swirls you had. Need to get a polish like Poorboys SSR 1 or 2.5 to truely remove the swirls. But, pretty good job with the AIO.

As long as you can't see the swirls so well anymore... :dunno: Makes no difference to me whether they're covered or removed completely, if to my eye they're not there, all is groovy :lmao:

Give it a week or two, you'll see them again. Polishing is the only way to get rid of them so they wont continue to show.

Anysia, did you do that by hand? Or using a machine?
