Hey has anyone noticed how short the first and second gears are on the 08 couple or is it just me?? I have jut under a 1000KM on mine (08 coupe acoord EX) and tried pushing it a bit but it seems to stop pulling pretty quickly. is it my imagination? though it would have some more pull for 190 HP :) maybe it is just in my head!!

I got the v6 and it rips through the gears. I think the trans is perfect in my car but i havent driven the 4cyl. Anyone know if they have the same tranny?

The 4cyl has the 5MT. The more powerful a car is the quicker it will accelerate to redline. Imagine if you were to drive the closer ratio 6MT? At WOT in 1st you literally have about 2 seconds before you have to shift.
The only issue I have is the slip Honda built into the clutch when driving all out.

With only 600+ miles on the engine give it a bit more time. The four banger requires that you keep it in the high RPM range (4500+) for performance. Your engine is a bit new for that.

+1.
It takes awhile for Honda engines to loosen up. Your probably also running a winter blend gas. My old 5 speed EX was pretty darn quick.

meh...I have the "going into 3rd issue" prior years have. It's like it gets caught or doesn't pass through the gate entirely and pops back into neutral. Kinda gay. Doesn't worry me.
