ever heard of hand-foot-mouth desease? No, not the ones cows get!

My grandson...the 2 year old...got it from another 2 year old. It's a virus that causes a fever & rash on the hands, feet & other places... highly contagious! It's not too risky though.

Luckily the other kids that will be here on Turkey Day are the ones that gave it to him! So no change in plans!:D

Our young'n just had it a few weeks back. :( (He had it the weekend of the UT/S.Car. game.)


I never heard of it before. Sounds made up almost...but it is true, unfortunately. It made for a few tough days.

I'm not sure what drugs mom gave him....but he was fine this morning while here! He was climbing, playing with the recliners, beggin g for a sucker, hunting fo rmy jelly belly jelly beans, Just generally being his rotten little self! Yesterday he was running a 103 temp. You'd never know it today!! KIDS!:rolleyes:

I'd heard of it, but none of my kids ever had it. I looked it up when I heard the OTHER 2 year old had a couple of weeks ago. He's the kid my daughter watches everyday. She's been laughing about how they all have a "partner in crime"....two 6 year olds, two 2 year olds, 2 dogs, 2 kittens, 2 hampsters...... yep, she's nuts....like her mom!:D

A girl that I work withs daughter had it last week. They said it was only contagious if there is a fever. I feel sorry for her little girl, she is in the child development center on base, which is a breeding ground for germs, she gets anything and everything

So much for adults not getting it! My daughter now has it! First the 2 year she watches, then her 2 year old, then the oldest 6 year old, then the other, now her! Each one had a temp of 102-103. Each one had the blisters on their hands, feet, & mouth......

I sure hope we don't end up getting it too!:(
