Hey guys i need some reccomendations. My car is about to hit 130k, its an 03 exl sedan and i am planning on changing the brakes and the serpentine belt, what else should i do, my dealer said i need a new valve cover gasket, where is that and how do i do it, im sure princess can give me some help. Also, if someone (princess, lol) can post instructions on how to change the water pump, i would appreiate it. Any other reccomendation on what I should do? I appreciate the help guys...oh ya and one more question, my car is pulling to the left and i took it in for alignment and they said it was fine, what could be my problem?

Have you looked in the owner's manual at all?

Honda knows best on everything in that owners manual BUT the transmission fluid change. Get that done every 30k miles, cheap insurance. Use only Honda transmission fluid, and no flushes.

Have you had the coolant changed? 110-120k was the big tune up interval for that car. Plugs, Water Pump, Fluids, Serpentine Belt, and Seals should've been done, as well as an overall adjustment/tune up. Has your dealer not recommended anything of the sort?

Do you think we would know more than Honda? Why not just do as the manual says? Call a dealer and ask them.... I don't get it:dunno:

This is what i would do: water pump, thermostat, coolant flush, spark plugs and wires, timing belt, transmission fluid. I would also get under the car and check for any leaks of any sort and address those, and check all cooling hoses. They should be fairly firm without any signs of cracking. If you suspect any damage on them, replace them.

It is really hard to say what needs to be done as we don't know the conditions the car has been driven in as that has an effect on things.

Only the K24 in the Accord.

V6's are still belt driven. ~boo~

I don't believe there are any spark plug wires to replace either. I would add a new pcv valve to the list also.

This is true, the V6 is the only one with wires and timing belt.

I was just listing the basic things that come to mind, i haven't seen the K24, so it probably has individual coils if i'm not mistaken.

Chains wear out too, just not as fast.

This chain is designed last the life of the engine. It has no change interval and is self adjusting.

True, but chains are put together with links, which wear out over time. So i guess the chain goes when the engine goes.
