I think someone like I1 can hook you up. He the man.

From reading through this thread, I guess your poll choices would be "snow" and "yellow snow." With that in mind, I1 might also want to add "none of the above" to the choices.

My favorite part is the gathering of loved ones.....the foods not a priority for me....

well, it will be today. I'll be making 3 pies, 2 kinds of breads, Pumpkin roll, fudge, ham, ambrosia...:D

coil~stop making me laugh so hard at work! people are beginning to think i've lost it!! :lmao:

my choice would be whatever my mom makes! usually the standard turkey, bread stuffing, some macaroni type stuffing, broccoli, mashed potatoes, some really good sweet potato casserole (involves apples and marshmellows!), rolls, pies, whatever!! :D

thankgiving is a yummy holiday! :D we eat around noon/1 and basically don't have to eat the rest of the day thanks to how much food there is then!

yep, we eat so early because my dad's family and my mom's family each have a dinner too. my mom decided that all of the fighting over where we'd go to eat was not worth it, so she started making her own dinner for us to eat BEFORE we visit the rest of the relatives! ;)

cute pic sfw! so what are your plans for turkey day??

This is planned small....only 5 of our youngest family, our son & 4 friends.... I think this could be a record! 12 may be the smallest turkey day we've ever had!

We eat at 2:00. Then we play games, indoors & out (while the babies are napping)....eat our pies at about 5:00. Then the rest of the evening depends on who's around. Sometimes we play cards or other table games.

I sure hope I remember to take lots of pictures this year! I'm pretty busy, so I tell others to do it....but......

Nice pix!

I think sfw would be Stiller Fan Wife....

Having a blonde moment???!!:D

Today after cleaning my whole house, I baked pies: apple, pumpkin & lemon. Plus banana nut bread, made the ambrosia & now I need to run to the store...I need more pecans!

So while I'm out I'll also get the stamps for all the Xmas cards.

I also got the backyard mowed & cleaned. Tomorrow we'll have a a couple of smokers & that's an outdoor thing here! So the yard needed to be prepared.

I try to make sure we do something besides sleep off the turkey drug! ;)

Later I still need to do pumpkin bread, fudge & a pecan pie. I might just go sit in the jacuzzi & let my prince do the rest!:D I'm pooped!! In between stuff I had to pick up Hunter from school..Nicholas went home sick & instead of dragging him back out, I got volunteered!

I might have more energy, except I forgot to eat! No breakfast, no lunch, not even fingers in the makin's! I think it'll be a fastfood night.....

We all seem to have completely different wants on the food list here! Our son couldn't care less about turkey, thus the ham. I've been pretty much without sugar since last Jan. So pigging out on all the desserts sounds like fun!

You're right though, I just love to see them all full & happy!

Traffic was nasty on that store run! I changed my mind about fastfood....I'll just do something easy.

The prince & princess are a great clean up team! He's making the fudge right now... when he uses the kitchen he ALWAYS cleans up after himself. If I'm the one cooking, he'll try to keep up after me....

For the holiday dinners we do some hand washing while it's getting prepared, so if I need anything again, it's clean! It's cool, we work like an assembly line!

So as I'm putting the stuff on the table, whatever pot or pan I'm finished with will be washed. The after dinner it takes just a few minutes to clear the table & wash up everything. Usually by the time the smokers come back in, it's done. I will leave the dessert stuff until the guests leave though.

;)

People have commented for years about our team work! We won a prize at a Xmas party.... we had to wrap a box with paper & ribbon with each only using one hand. We barely said a word, just went into auto mode! In nearly 30 years, who needs words?

When wrapping at home he does the paper & I do the decorations & tags. Works great!:D
