What kind of paint would y'all recommend for painting the dash and other plastic bits on the inside? I figure that any kind of good grade spray paint would work, but would like some input as to what everyone else thinks.

My niece had good luck using interior vinyl paint. The kind you use to change the color of your interior. Her interior is black and she painted the cooling vents red.

Do you think I'll need any kind of clearcoat on top of it also? I'll be doing my entire dash probably this weekend. It's a really dark brown, but gonna go with yellow and keep the vents and gauge cluster black.

The best paints for matching interior trim color and gloss are actually model railroad paints. Go to your hobby shop and see if they carry Floquil paints, I've used them on Jaguar interiors with fantastic success, and they are available in spray and bottle form.

I won't be matching the interior, but changing it completely. Hopefully I'll be able to do it this weekend, if the weather and everything else cooperates with me.

Compared to what it looked like when I first got the car, and how it's shaping up now, there's a big difference:) On a sad note, will probably be selling it in December when I get re-stationed to Japan. On the plus side, once I get back will probably be looking at a newer accord:D
