would you need a camber kit if you wanted to drop you car height by replacing the coilovers with aftermarket coilovers...thus far unecessary labor and such

Yes, you would need a camber kit. It's necessary for the rear, not as necessary for the front.

From what I'm aware, it depends on how much it's dropped.

Still depends on how much your going to drop it.

.75" to 1.5" : shouldn't need it.

More than 1.5" : need it.

Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and install the rear kit while everythings all apart. That way it will be there if you need it.

I did say "shouldn't need it", I didn't say that you "wouldn't need it".

Pope, my answer wasn't directed toward you...

Some people are dropped lower than me and didn't needed a camber kit...:dunno:

I needed one. What I want to say is it is better to have it, so you are sure that your camber will be within the specs. I wouldn't want to scrap my tires early just because the camber is off, espescially with high performance tires that are expensive.:thmsup:

Theoretically, your car is supposed to corner better if your tires are like this

// \\

Really bad for wear though.

I had a 1.3" drop in the rear and I went 2 months without a camber kit and everything was fine. The only reason I bought one was because I knew I was gonna go lower later down the road which just happened.

As far as waiting ...... that should be fine IF your not going to put on a lot of miles during this week and a half. I'd guess that anything less than 1000 miles would be fine. :paranoid:

oh yea i live in a fairly small town that is growing but pop.wise lol.my daily comute is probably 20-26 mi. max, and also they were in the process of droppin in the coilovers and they didnt have a bushing for the crown of the towermount? well they had to tear down and set up with no installation with no charge(thank god) but as i took my car home i noticed a great change in ride...it was emaculate compared to how it drove before...im sure it was due to the tear down i suppose but. i noticed this the most because when i entered the slope from the street to the alley of my house i usualy enter around 10 miles and i could feel an impact i didnt know what it was but it didnt feel right. well this time it traveled along with the ramp with no impact. i just hope this handles the way it did today with the right height modification. sorry for the novel
