I am thinking of painting mine, but I will probably do silver as that is what they were in the beginning. I just want to get them back to the clean look they had new. I don't want to try and show I have fancy brakes when I don't.

Red isn't too bad, i think it goes good w/ the color silver. Yah it does look a little ricey. But since I have it on my car, I cant really knock it ;). but **** it, its your car right.

Dont do yellow. Id personally do red, black, or silver.

No matter what you do to them, they will never look nice.. But if you buy some substantial Ally wheels, they will hide all the ugly functional bits that work your brakes, and add to your cars appearance at the same time. :)

i have the five spoke ex rims and im tired of looking at rusty calipers. i work at advance auto and all we have is red, black, and i think silver. i just wanted to see what the diff colors look like. yellow is out of the ?.

I like calipers that match the body color of the car. Silver wouldn't really stand out, but I don't know if you want them to stand out or blend in! I've wondered to myself how mine would look painted blue, but I imagine I'd just end up making things look worse. As they are the silver blends in with the wheel and other brake bits rather than being a noticeable part.

On a silver car I'd do silver or aluminum high temp. Definitely not yellow or red because you don't want to bring too much attention to the puny stock calipers.

If you really want to do it right though I'd powder coat them silver. I could show you silver painted on my previous car if you want. I used aluminum high temp with high temp clear, came out pretty good but you have to touch them up every year. The paint is supposed to withstand high temps but after a while the paint starts to lose it's luster. I did my rotor hats as well.

I did silver on my friends silver car and it came out really clean looking. I am going to be changing mine from blue to black within the month.

To me it's kind of like putting a V6 emblem on an I4... or the "H" emblem with the red backround when you dont have what it represents... = poser, meaning posing to be something you are not...

That's just my humble opinion - at the end of the day, it's your ride so go with what you like

But red calipers doesnt mean performance to me, just contrast. I always appreciate someone who wants something different than the norm.

If I went and put brembo stickers on it, than yah that'd make me a poser. But just simply having them red doesnt make me a ricer or poser. I would never consider my car as a ricer car.

I wouldn't call you or anyone else on here a poser.. like I said it's your ride and ultimately your choice:thmsup:.. I am just telling you what I think as I am driving down the road and see a set of red calipers on a non performance brake set up.

Its totally cosmetic and has nothing to do with fooling anyone.
Gotcha.... Ha there just regular brake calipers, and you thought they were something HOT!

Putting a dual muffler on an I4 is weak, and throwing on the red badge is too.... agreed (i feel this way cause I have a 6MT!)

Mine are Red and I like the way they look compared to stock, and they also flow well with the taillights. I still wish that I painted them White.

id like to see some silver painted ones.

I painted mine with Ace brand black BBQ paint, the rear drums too. I think gray or a matte silver would look cool, but low key.

hell yeah I wish they had Sonny's in cali I'm cravin some ribs, mac & cheese, and some sweet tea, that's the first thing I do when I get off the plane. ever since they made that no liquid over 3oz rule they won't let me bring food onto the plane either since the bbq sauce on ribs & the beans contain a liquid, if you guys are ever in MCO and you see some guy goin nuts over some ribs, that's me:nuts:
