I drove over 400 miles yesterday in weather similar to the picture across Nebraska (the picture is actually in Colorado - its the only one I coudl find). All I have to say is my Honda handled great – I’m so happy I got the trim level that included traction control.

Most of the cars were crawling at 35 mph or so – but I headed over to the other lane and kept around 50 mph. Granted – I left plenty of room between me and the car in front of me (even with ABS I didn’t want to run into someone or head into the ditch).

Was I unsafe – I’m sure my mother would have been freaking out (she does at the first few snow flakes) – but I never felt unsafe. The Honda is a great snow-car.

a little hesitant to want to see how my accord handles in snow when i get it back. but i've always felt safe and felt like my civics were very confident in the snow! even without snow tires or anything! :)

Last Jan we got 8 inches over the weekend. I had to pick my wife up at the airport and the roads werent plowed yet, just other peoples track. I spun a little, but I am surprised I didnt get stuck. We have an 80% chance tonight and tomorrow and later this week, actually snowing right now. But Wed. the high is 10 and low is -5, but the forcast changes like crazy. I just want snow for Christmas.

got to take my car out in the snow for the first time today. the conditions were far from ideal and i normally would've stayed home as a result...

the temp has been falling all day and since it's sunday, most of the townships haven't bothered doing much with the roads. so the slush from earlier when it was wamrer out has now frozen into a sheet of ice in most places!

luckily i made it to my grandfather's dinner ok and back home ok. saw numerous accidents though!

hopefully the road is a little better when i leave for work in the morning!!
