I have a connection to a regional manager with BMG (based out of Oklahoma) who make lots of specialty fluid products for the automotive industry. They are sold to shops (including dealers, etc) and include everything from specialty lubricants, oil additives & treatments, power stering fluids, and gas treatments, etc.
I was given 2 kits for gas treatment which were supposed to clean out the fuel systems and after using on my Trooper and Accord (both at 100k plus mileage), I have to say they did seem to respond better...no hard data on that to show though.
I also ran oil treatment (put in just before an oil change, run briefly, drain) and it helped the chronic oil consumption inherent to my Trooper's block.
Lastly, tried the ATF (an ATF made to help higher mileage tranny's) to see if it would help my Trooper's failing unit...but alas, the torque converter was already gone so couldn't judge the results.
So, anyone else used anything from BMG? You might see there product line offered with the fluid flush services at shops. It's certainly been worth my investment (no money, just provided and I put them in). But seriously, I've seen good reviews...
