08Coupe 03-12-2008, 03:55 PM I have had my 08 Coupe EX for about 5 months now and 11,234 miles on it. Don't get me wrong I really like the car and have absolutely no complaints other then a kindaweek stereo.
A couple of things I am remorseful about, I think I paid way to much for this car. I paid 25 out the door, justification is at the time I really needed the car (my company took away our company cars) and I fell in love with it at first look and on top of that in Oct when I got the car they were hard to come by in my area (VA). That leads me to the other issue I have, now I am wishing I would have gotten the EX-L for the leather and the other options that come with it. The V6 would have been nice but I can see that was out of my budget, but now I hear of EX-L's going for what I paid for my EX. I know that is the case with every car once you drive off the lot, but at the time I feel if I bargained a little harder and found an EX-L I would have got it for 25.
Again I'm not bitchin about this car, the pros outweigh everything I'm remorseful for about 10 to 1.
I just wanted to get an opinion from some of the others in this forum. Do you guys have any remorse from the 08 accords?
leggysoe 03-12-2008, 04:04 PM I bought the same car for 23,000 OTD and I'm glad I didn't get the leather cuz its freaking hot in texas. Other options that come w/ ex-L (power seat, auto light off? etc) would be nice but negligible. But I do wish that I could get a deck lid spoiler that comes w/ v6...

I think we can be remorseful about most things. If you hunt long enough you will always find someone who got a better deal.
If you would have went v6 you may barely have the car and then think, you got the V6 but darn it only if you could have gotten red.
So enjoy a sweet car and think you got feel what it was like 11k miles ago when I was still driving mt 15 year old car that was rusting apart.
But if it is really killling you, sell it and get the V6, or for the time being test drive one and see if it is really that much better to you. If it is pull the trigger. Life is too short to be unhappy.
^^^^
I agree. Just enjoy the car now that you have it. With it being a new model I would guess most people were paying near MSRP if not more in some instances. And like you said, you were in the position that your needed a car and you got what you wanted. If you did price shop, you may have been hunting for awhile and been without a car. I went in circles with 8 dealers over the course of 3 months. It wan't easy negotiating.
Drive on . . .
ycart 03-12-2008, 10:20 PM we have the sexiest cars on the road right now! dont feel bad. love your car more.
andysinnh 03-13-2008, 02:28 AM Look at it this way - you've put over 11k miles on this car for a price that was likely competitive at that point in time, and while perhaps you might have gotten more car for your money today, you can't discount your 5 months of ownership. If you dwell on it it'll drive you nuts - and trying to trade the car at this point is likely not the best decision either - so just enjoy and move on!
This is similar to buying a computer - you find a good deal on a computer and the next week you either find it on sale, or you find the newer model with more features for the same price you paid.
Don't worry, be happy... :lmao:

<<<CHIMING IN>>>>ABOUT THE SEXINESS OF THE ACCORD: KEEP IN MIND THAT THE COUPE TO SEDAN RATIO IS ABOUT 1 FOR EVERY 15 AND THAT MAY NOT CHANGE, PLUS PEOPLE GAWK AT THE CARS AS WE DRIVE LIKE HOLY POOP ITS THE NEW COUPE ( NO I DIDNT THINK THAT UP, IT ACTUALLY JUST CAME OUT THAT WAY...(BIATCHSLAPING MYSELF!!!) AND IN ORDER TO KEEP THE MARKET HOT, HONDA IS NOT GOING TO OVER SATURATE IT EITHER... ADDITIONALLY, THE WORD THAT IM GETTING FROM CALI & ATLANTA IS THAT A FEWW LITTLE BS ISSUES LIKE THE ONES WE HAVE BEEN DISCUSSING EVERY DAY ARE BEING SCRUTINIZED SO THAAT THEY CAN FIND THE FIXES (FOR US 2008 OWNERS) AND ELIMINATE THEM FOR THE NEXT YEAR MODEL(2009- ---------->
I SEE A BANANA LINE COMIN!!!!!

dking99 03-13-2008, 05:50 AM You may have actually got a much better deal than you think...
When you talk to others about the "out the door price", what most people fail to mention is the financing side of things. You probably got a better APR than some of the folks who got the same car for a lower OTD price.
Would you rather have bought the car for $22,000 with a 60 month loan @ 8.5%????? Didnt think so....

you got one of the best looking and may I say rare coupe out in the market. not too many accord coupes out there especially manuals stick. as far as getting the EX-L. I bet if you had bought the EX-L, you were have been wondering if you should have gotten the V-6 coupe.
so to really summon it up, all our 8th generation accords are SEXY AS HELL coupes out there. All you got to do is customized that Biatch know. and you will see how a grin in your face will develop !!!
