krazyfiend 03-13-2008, 04:39 PM i knocked that down to 27,8 through internet sales bartering around my area back on 10/25/08 ... you should get a better deal nowadays...
key price to pay attention to is the OTD price, tax, fees..etc etc...what you pay, out the door.
I picked mine up on 3/1. I paid $26,300 (Brewster Honda, Brewster, NY). I also got a quote for $26,100 but they were farther away. These were acquired through internet pricing. Go through http://automobiles.honda.com/ (then request a quote) as you will get a survey after a few days so you can judge their responsiveness.
bubbaok 03-13-2008, 05:27 PM I was going to offer $25,000 and pay $26,000 here in oklahoma you pay the taxes later not to the dealer
onewheelup 03-13-2008, 05:32 PM A lot of dealers arent moving much off there pricing because the coupe's are selling so well. I doubt youll get anywhere close to that but go ahead and try.

I would have to say they wont come off much but never hurts to try

Offer invoice price and see what develops... or do like I said, get internet offers as that is their bottom line price and you'll save yourself grief and time by skipping dealers that are playing games with you.

Tyler is right, especially about supply and where you live. I'm in Miami, FL where we have lots of Honda dealers. I also started with "Internet quotes". The best starting quote was invoice plus $600, plus dealer fees of $595. I negotiated hard for a month with 3 dealers, all within a 30 mile radius. (2 other dealers would not budge from sticker and only offerred to waive the dealer fees.) I was lucky enough to catch one dealer who just received my Belize Blue/Black EX-L V6 auto "in stock". In addition to dealer fees, they even had a NONSENSE fee of $3,000 for "Limited Availablilty" listed on the "second sticker". In the end, using the e-mail "written" quotes, I got them down to invoice, $26,275 plus $400 with NO dealer or nonsense fees. (Of course I had to pay tax and title fees on top of the $26,675.). They were NOT happy that I paid all cash and did not finance with them. I took delivery on 02/22. I think I was lucky they had just received the exact car I wanted. They said they had already "paid" for expensive aftermarket 20" chrome rims and low-pro tires to go on my car (they were already printed on my "second sticker for an extra $3,000!) but since they were not on the car yet I insisted on the stock 18's. They only had 1 other EX-L V6 coupe in red/ivory that already had the overpriced wheels & tires on it. Only 1 other dealer offered to match the price, but had no incoming V-6 coupes with my color combo and said I would have to pay to have them ship one from another dealer upstate. They said there were only 3 others in all of Florida at the time!

Dealer fees are a fake add-on profit center, :)I am amazed at how many folks pay for that nonsense.
Dealer personnel get paid to prep and do a pre-delivery inspection (PDI). It's part of the dealer's cost of being a dealer.
Don't believe otherwise.........
