So my dad found a mobile detailing company in the houston area...I got quoted 140 for clay, polish, glaze, and paint sealant, engine bay cleanup, and final hand wash.....boy was it worth it.

The car had marring and swirl marks all over it from the dealer...now, not one in sight! Its amazing and the car looks so wet and the paint is alot richer now.

So anyone in the houston area give Falcon Detail a call and ask for Saul Efigenio to come do your car, he is one of their master detailers. He said he has been doing it for 25 years, and I believe him.

Here is an after pic I shot of the paint. I didnt do a before but trust me, in the sunlight you could see cobweb style swirls and marring from the buff job the dealer did.

Oh and when the sun comes out more, I'll be testing out my dads new camera, so pics to come later of the whole car.

Edit: and no im not giving the camera the finger or pointing out anything, I found somewhere that if you give the camera something to focus on, imperfections will show up tons better

If you haven't tried (WP) Wet Paint yet, you might look into it. It will allow that glossy wet look to stay maintained even longer...

I am thoroughly impressed with my results using it and Final Detail on my car as finishers.

That looks great! $140 well spent. I tried the clay bar on my car, waxed it afterwards. It cleans up the paint well, but my arm nearly fell off from clay bar, paint cleaner wax, regular wax, then Carnuba(spell?) wax. This was the Maguires 3 step cleaning system and Mothers clay bar.

Here's a trick that works with most P&S cameras, 1/2 press the shutter with the finger in view until you hear a beep or see some square box patterns show up in the rear view finder, this means the camera has focused on something (your finger in this case), hold the shutter button at 1/2 pressed, remove the finger that was used for focusing, and then continue pressing the shutter all the way down to take the picture.

That looks awesome, makes me wish I had NBP! How often do you polish (or get it polished)? :)

If y'all don't have a clear bra on the front of those black cars, get it done. Mine never got one, and now at just under 40K miles and 15 months, it needs the front end repainted. It just looks horrible.

the NBP is pretty when it's clean and pristine, but it is thin, chips easily and won't be easy to match...touchup paint looks like garbage so don't even try. I have literally thousands of little chips that wouldnt' even be noticeable on another color.

If the detailer actually polished all the swirls out that is A STEAL!!!

You will be able to tell after several washes if he used the glaze to give a *wetter* look or if he used the glaze to hide (fill) swirls...

I love that color paint!!!

I was thinking the same thing. Anytime glaze is mentioned it makes me wonder why it was used. The car looks super.

That's true Jammit-I've had my black car for two years and the hood looks horrible-I suppose if Honda's had an achilles heel it's the paint!! I used to have a Toyota Camry and that baby never chipped like my Honda. If you do have your hood repainted and it's a national chain let me know I may go that route as well.
