Hey guys,
I just felt like sharing this crazy topic that I came across today on Autoblog.

As many of you may know, the new BMW M3 has been seen fetching almost 40k over MSRP. So this Dealership in Lincoln Nebraska puts one of their M3's on ebay to try and make a killing.
They did not set a reserve, and only ended up getting $60,000 for the car, which is below MSRP.
The person who won the auction is trying to claim their new vehicle and the dealership is refusing, saying that the auction was a "MISTAKE"

Check out this post, the ebay buyer posted over on an M3 forum!!

I hope he gets his car for 60k and takes that dealer to the cleaners. I hate BMW dealers...they all think they are doing you a favor for selling you their piece of junk car (in many ways....).

They can afford to eat that money in the shorts. Better get some BBB after them as well. I wouldn't stop until I had my car and had them on the BBB black list. First place to start is a lawyer or maybe the local news :)

Saw this over at AcuraZine. Can't believe I read all the posts in that M3post thread.

I wanted to strangle mooseman and DailyYeah... they were friggin' annoying. :furious: :headbash:

Hope the guy gets his M3.

Almost like a bait and switch... Guy wins M3 for $60K. Seller says it was a mistake and offers car for $65,600 (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2343506#post2343506) instead.

this is one of the few times when it'd be *nice* to be a lawyer (or practice law in the state you won the car) ... it seems attention is being had & it sounds likes this dealer has pulled similar antics on a Z06 auction in the past.
