Im looking into buying an upper strut bar for my 99 4dr. 2.3L. How do those with the bar like it? huge differance? Is there any later model accords that have the strut bar that will be interchangeable? thanks!

Looked really cool on the car though. I had an Eibach strut bar. Still have it lying around. It wouldn't fit on our 07'.:( cforez 03-27-2008, 07:48 AM If you're looking for improved handling, there really isn't that much improvement. But if you're looking for improved steering feel, then there is a noticeable difference. I wouldn't spend too much money for one, the best IMHO (and one of the cheapest) is the strut bar from the 2001-03 Acura TL/CL Type-S. #22 http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/acura/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=TL&catcgry2=2003&catcgry3=4DR+TYPE-S&catcgry4=KA5AT&catcgry5=CROSS+BEAM&ListAll=All&vinsrch=no&systemcomp=&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal cajun 03-27-2008, 08:26 AM 99EX, My 02 and I'm guessing your 99 came stock with a pair of strut bars that run from the firewall to each strut tower. It's not the same as a strut bar that would connect the two towers, but I doubt you would feel much of a difference. You would probably get more handling bang for your buck by adding the bigger TL rear sway bar. |
