when everything is going wrong, and you think it's only going to continue that way, it's so awesome when someone comes along and gives you the feeling that there are decent people out there!
i was amazed to find someone carefully following me part of the way home from work friday. someone who would normally not be caught dead doing the speed limit. but i guess he noticed how worked up i was over everything and how paranoid i am about getting into another accident and how the ticket has magnified it all.
without me asking or suggesting or anything, he followed me until the point he turns off at normally. and then he beeped "bye".
it was exactly what i needed after the last few months. just the feeling that someone cares enough about me to do something so simple, yet so significant for me. it made me feel protected for those few miles and that's huge for me. i have never felt protected by anyone else.
i hope he knows how much it meant to me! :)
