20s to mid 30s....its too sporty for the older crowd, plus 2 doors is only something you can live with if its just you, and maybe your gf/wife...a family doesnt do good w/ 2 doors....and its a sad thing....

my dads 98 firebird trans am...with the ws6 package was supposed to be mine, but he traded it in for a family sedan....which just happend to be a 6th gen accord.....*sigh* oh well

Agree with Demonik, except if you're in your mid-30s and don't have a girl and/or kids, a nice, sporty coupe might help you get out of that mess.

You guy's are funny, it shouldn't matter what age, if the car fits the role buy it.
You think when you hit 31 your going to all of a sudden change your look on car styling, performance etc ?

Hold on - I'm in the "older crowd" and have only had three 4 door vehicles in 44 years of driving- out of 58 total cars owned. I have a Vette and an 08 Accord coupe, presently. If you have a family that wants four doors let 'em take the bus! Style, performance, handling and ZOOM factor have nothing to do with aging - if you are a true car nut. I still spend some seat time at the track every year in something, and don't plan on stopping until embalming fluid runs through my liver.

Lets see if somebody can beat me. I'm 50 and just purchased a Silver EXL Coupe. I like the styling better than the 4-dr and it has a sporty yet classy look. Not so much boy racer like a Civic 2 door. I traded a 07 Odyssey in on it. Its just my wife and 16yr old and pets. In the past we have taken long road trips but we have decided to fly more. I have 2 Accords -A 06 4dr and the 08. I cant think of a more well rounded car for everyday use than the Accord.

I enjoy seeing older folks driving this car..I've seen one 20-30 something yr old girl driving her v6 coupe last fall (well I assume it was hers, might not have been)

elsewise, the other 4-5 coupes i've seen here in Carmel (northside of Indianapolis) has been well..professionals in the 35-55 range... all cordial..all giving the thumbs up or wave =)

i saw a man at least in his 50's pass by in an Accord coupe, and it looked right.

heck old gents in a mustang or those new t-birds looks right too. or a corvette.

if you like sporty cars you will never stop.

this car is for people 16-84, like the one user said.

Better to ask this question to the Honda Marketing execs. Otherwise, who cares ?

Just turned 31 myself! And I still LOVE my 6 manual gears, 2 doors, and slammin' heavy metal! =)

Age...but don't grow old.

my 2 cents ;) I'm 32 and have five kids lol and the two door works great as long as I don't have all at once or one gets stuffed in the trunk jk. who says you have to have a mini-van for a family :) life is about having fun and we only live once..........

Yes, except I did it at 21 instead of 31. :(

I can't speak for anyone else but personally, I am 46... Been tracking cars and Bikes since I was around 18, no kids, 1 dog, lots of toys.

Aged, yes... Old, never

that's the correct demographic for this car

The first two Coupes I passed on the road after getting mine were driven by a female (probably 20 to 30 years old) and a male (probably 35-45 years old). The male's Coupe was friggin covered in bird shit, front to back. I mean, like, this guy parked under a nesting tree for weeks and underwent a new paint job. Seriously speaking, he probably had about 50 decent sized spots of bird shit on his car...what a shame!

So far 90% of the Coupes I see are between 25 and 35 years old. And I would say I have seen about 7 men and 3 women total. Half V6, half I4. Pretty good mix if you ask me.

what is the point of this thread? that only people around the age of 25 are cool enough to own a coupe???

i'm 38 and got the coupe because it looks hotter than the sedan.

heck im 26, and as i said in my previous post on page 1... i find it cooler when folks older are driving this car out n about...

it doesn't make it seem so much like a car for lucky/privileged high school kids, or just a car kid's drive. ie tiburon , eclipses, etc.

350z's and infiniti G35 and 37's walk the same 'cross ages' line pretty well too, from just my own local/regional observations.

I agree with dash242  (and not Demonik who said "20s to mid 30s....its too sporty for the older crowd"....) Sorry "Mr. Demon", the late 40's to mid 50's "crowd" I hang with have ALL kind of sporty rides like Porsches, Corvettes, Ferraris, G37, 'Stang Cobras, Jag's etc. (and sporty second cars or trucks, like Benz & Rover for the kids etc.) I've driven them all, including recent joy rides in a 505 HP '07 Z06 and '07 997 Twin Turbo. Those rocket ships are just "status symbols" for my friends. I could own any one of them, but don't choose a ride just to impress others.

This "old fart" has always been a coupe enthusiast (Yes it helps to be divorced with no kids and just a GF) In addition to my "long term" previous rides listed below, I've had a few garage queen/show cars including 2 Corvettes and a Porshe. Hell, I bought my first '69 Vette in 1982, when most of you were in diapers, (or not even born?) I nearly bought an '07 Porshe Cayman tiptronic instead of my Accord coupe, but my "old bones" are tired of a super stiff ride and I'd rather have the extra ca$h in the bank (or the market). :naughty:

Meh...I'm married with 2 kids. The wife's Lincoln Town Car Cartier is for family haulin'. Heck, the kids pile in the back just fine in the Coupe as it is. One reason I like the Accord Coupe so much--fun for me with plenty of room in the back...even for my wife on the odd occasion that she's ridden back therte.

Only place not super roomy is directly behind me, as I'm 6' 1". Even so, my 8-year old son fits just fine.

Family or not, I'm rockin' a sporty coupe as long as I want.

The coupe fits ages 20-35. The Sedan 25-60. After that, I think you should get yourself a nice lexus sedan.

Are you serious? Rock-on... I'm glad to hear that age group appreciates the "noise" us younger folk listen to. And your a teacher too? That makes it even better. As for your students, they'd probably think your nuts.

Ive only seen 1 accord coupe ever in az, and thats a white v6 a couple days ago. It was being driven by a guy, don't know age? i don't stare at people when i drive by them, they stare at me :)
btw im 21, but the accord always has been a all-age car, anyone can drive it and feel fine.
now colors on the other hand, some are really geared to more conservative and on the oppisite spectrum as well, Honda really played their cards right with the accord IMO.

Kupo i know what you mean, i just turned 21 and theres only one or two other coupes in my area. i get the craziest looks and people always ask me how the hell i afford it!!!
In my opinion i think its a car made for all ages

I hardly see any '08 Accord coupes in my general area!

Many '08 Accord sedans, yes.

Many new(er) Civic coupes, yes.

Many '08 Accord coupes, no!

I am 24, just got EX V6 Coupe.
I think it's geared towards 25-35 crowd. People under 25 try to get mazdaspeed3 or z350 if they can afford it. 35+ crowd sticks to MB and BMWs (i know that's what i am getting at that age)

Well, people in their 40s wise up and become more value conscious. After 6 new $50K+ cars in the last 12 years, I never got my money's worth. Maybe I bought the wrong cars, but I'm done with expensive cars. After owning my 6MT only 1 month, I don't miss ANY of them (all RWD V8s, by the way) one bit. If it wasn't for the 6MT, I would be driving a 135i, which is not a bad car, but it's not worth $15K over the Coupe.

So yes, I'm another 'old fart' (46) who can afford a more expensive car but chose the Accord Coupe 6MT. Later.

Im 23 and get the same looks. I have seen 3 other coupes being driven, all by drivers in my demographic. (21-25). All the sedans I've seen have been a bit gray in the driver's seat. Not to say thats the way it should be, just the way I've seen it to be.

Hell, my 60yo neighbor has a new Viper, my best friends dad has the Lotus Esprit S4 and my dad has a c06 and a Harley. A coupe (or a bike) never get old!

I'm 27 and I still feel like people look at me like I'm too young to be driving it. I guess I feel that way because my original choices were 07 WRX and 08 Civic Si.

I didn't want the new WRX and I would get beaten to death with interest buying used. The Civic Si was annoying because it wasn't sporty to me at all when I test drove. 4000 rpm in 3rd at 30mph, it was just a bunch of noise and going no where with me and 2 small women in the car. My 12 year old del sol handled better.

"its too sporty for the older crowd"...excuse me? I fall into that category (I think), but love the coupe's style. It just isn't practical for me. It's difficult putting the grandkids car seats into a two door. Otherwise, I'd have one. The red one.

Im 33 my 2 kids 8 and 11 hate riding in the backseat of my coupe. My car gets left home alot because of it. This is the reason I was trying to sell it. Im planning on keeping it now and enjoying it some more instead of taking the loss. I think a new set of 20's are in my near future. I may lower it some more too, we will see how it looks with the 20's and the current eibach drop first.
