My Accord is equipped with the Nav system, every time I start the car I have to press the OK safety acknowledgement (PITA but the lawyers won one for the Gipper), then the MAP screen appears. To display the AUDIO screen I must then press the AUDIO button.

Is there some way to make the system DEFAULT to the AUDIO screen and avoid the MAP display after pressing the OK button??

Thanks

I just think that their engineers should have allowed the owner to select what they want to display on the LCD. It's software. Guess I have higher expectaions.

every factory navi i've used goes to the map. But you're definetly right, they're should be the option.

I have often wondered this myself. When I first got my 03', it had the original Navi disc and when you pressed the "OK" button, it would go to the menu screen. This year I finally upgraded to the current Navi disc and like yours, it goes to the map after you press the "OK" button. So this tells me that a different boot to screen is possible. Wish I knew how to change it myself though. I would prefer it to go to the trip computer myself.

Agree, I'd guesstimate over 99% of owners/operators do not need the Nav system when they get in their cars. Seems more logical that the audio system would be the default display and if/when you want to use the Nav then you'd need to select the MAP or MENU.
