Hi all,
might be getting the 05 Ex L Manual this weekend and wanted to know the availability of a Short Shift kit (SSK)
is there a SSK for the TSX (I assume same power plant as the Ex 4cl 2.4l) and would that fit?
If not, what other SSK's are there out in the market?
I will probably be getting the rear Sway bar off of a TL (any place for good pricing?) I assume the install is about as hard as it was on the BMW (not hard) - undo a few bolts... bolt in .. drive.
Going with the Metalic Grey and the Grey Leather interior (wanted silver / blk... but wife won)
Thanks

I believe that neuspeed has a ssk for the accord, they have one for the 03 accord should be the same.

I have the Neuspeed Short Shifter on my '03 I4. The kit lists it will also work on the Acura TSX. It's the best thing for the money I've done so far. It's only supposed to reduce throw fore and aft, and not side to side. Funny thing is, it feels shorter in both directions. You will get used to it after a while and the shifts will feel normal to you until you drive another car for a while and then get back into your own. A great inexpensive mod.

I had a SSK on my saturn SL2... reduced the throw by almost 50 % (the stocker was sloppy and the SSK was REALLLLY built well - required the removal of the stock one and installing a new SSK, linkages, etc) that thing shifted FAST
The side movement seems OK on the stock honda... just the throw (fore to aft) is a bit long
anyone have instructions for installing this one?
Looks like a simple add in piece

For the Neuspeed, it is fairly simple:
-Snap the shift boot down off the shift knob, unscrew knob.
-Remove center console. Unbolt shifter mechanism base.
-Pry off bushing from existing shifter, install on new one.
-Install billet aluminum Neuspeed piece over existing shifter.
-Put it all back together again.
Removing the center console takes patience to avoid snapping any plastic bits, and prying the bushing off is a real pain. Otherwise, really easy. It comes with thorough instructions including pictures. My vehicle (J-VIN import) didn't match the one in the pics, but it was basically similar.

Any crunch from 1st to 2nd in a high RPM quick shift??

No crunch at all. If you're not quick with the clutch, you will have problems, however. A lot of people install a short throw and don't realize that the shifting is faster, but the clutch is not, because it's geometry is unchanged. So, if you're slow on the clutch, the synchro's make up for it, until you wear them out.

I just ordered the Neuspeed for my 04 5 speed! I'll be sweating UPS next week for sure! Best I found was $49.32 including shipping @:

You must call to order, no online ordering.
Next in line is the 17mm anti sway bar.
