I have found some information (here) about ANC but I am wondering if anyone has actually disabled the system yet?

I am having the exact same issues and the system will be unusable until I fix this problem: Here are the specs

I completed Phase 1 of my install this past weekend, now I am "debugging" the system.

Here are the specs of my system:

2008 Accord LX-S Coupe Factory Head Unit (6-disk)
---------------------------------------------------
JL Audio Cleansweep (CL-SSI Not needed BTW!!)
Xtatic BatCap 400
Alpine MRP F600 4ch Amp
Eclipse XA1200 mono amp
Boston Acoustic Pro60 (F)
Boston Acoustic SL60 (R)

Specs of Install:
Removed all seats, door panels, kick and rail modings, rear decklid, center console, and bezel before starting:

Under upper passanger side floorwell, cut out some padding to mount CleanSweep Unit and wired up.

Removed rear seat covering and built frame to mount amps and battery cap. Ran power wires along driver side and speaker wires along passanger side.

Mounted Pro60s up front as seperates. Dynamat front of door area, cut foam block to mount crossovers and glued to insde door panel. (Set both tweeters to -4db)

Dropped in SL60s as coaxial.

Calibrated Cleansweep at vol:20 (at 30 I had issues with distortion).

Whats left?

Figuring out how to disable ANC as it is going to blow up my sub. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Installing EQ, Sub Level and Sound Imaging/Staging processor. Probably RF 3Sixty but Im looking in to what Audio Control Offers.

I didn't think about taking pics during install but I ran downstairs and took these today (sorry about the load time for this page of the thread!).

Disabling the ANC is pretty easy.

There are two mics. 1 in the front, 1 in the rear.

To get to the front one, you gotta do the following:
pop off both lenses of the front ceiling lights
unscrew the entire mount
look to the front of the assembly, you'll see a plug and a rectangular box
unplug it

The rear one is a bit harder, unless u have little kiddie hands and a flashlight
flip down rear seats:
pry up the base of the rear deck and get your hand under there - its held on by a few black clips (don't be scared to bend it a lot)
look around the center of the rear deck for another rectangular box and unplug it.

Thanks! I was going to (attempt to) disconnect the microphones this evening but after reading a few posts from the hybrid forum, it looked to be more complicated. Anyway, I will give it a go tonight and update my post with the results. Quick Question: The map light lens(s) simply pop off? Im guessing a taped-up, small flat head?

Oh, and sorry about the Hijack... I should have known better.

if you look up at the map lights you will see small indentions, just stick the flat head up there and it will come out easily...the whole process should take less than 10 minutes

Indeed, I disconnected both mics this morning and it seems to have taken care of the problem. I just took it for a quick drive through my 'hood and no ANC. Excellent

Super n00b Alert:

What's ANC? I'm about to have a similar system installed and would like to know.

Thanks.

Edit: Used search, nevermind.

You may not notice it unless you are running a subwoofer. In my case, each time it kicked in (everytime I sped up, slowed down, shifted or applied the brakes) the sub would freak out. In any case, disabling the microphones is pretty easy so I would do it no matter what.
