To remove scratches completely or you could just mask them for a bit and they'll come back after?
I've got a Nighthawk Black Accord Coupe and I just washed my car today and noticed a lot of scratches on it, just wondering if it's possible to remove all of them completely
Depending on how deep they are: Clay bar or Turtle Wax Liquid Clay bar
May have to have it buffed out.
The problem is that you are using a dirty wash mit and/or drying towel

If they are actually scratches that are in the paint clay bar and Turkle wax won't do squat. Find a professional detailer with a top reputation and have them wet sanded and buffed out. Depending on the depth it may not remove them but only lessen the effect.
If it's just a couple of marks on the paint, which most people incorrectly call scratches, then a REAL clay bar (NOT the liquid stuff, which is useless) may help remove or lessen them.
No offense meant to k757 but the liquid clay is a bad joke and should be discarded if you bought it.
THIS SHOULD BE MOVED TO MAINTENANCE AND DETAILING, it's in the wrong area. Please ask a mod to do so buuckznguyen.

As mentioned, get rid of your wash and dry mitt & towels, replace with a quality wash mitt and real leather chamois to dry. Then try a name brand "swirl mark remover" like Meguiars BEFORE you try wet sanding. A Lexus or Acura will stand up better to wet sanding than the Honda paint and it cost ALOT if done right.

A clay bar won't remove scratches, but it could cause marring if used incorrectly.
As for Turtle Wax Liquid Clay bar.... it's more a paint cleaner/pre-wax cleaner than a true clay bar.
To the OP..... do you mean that you have swirls/marring? If so, you'll need to polish them out.

^ In that case, either a repaint or touch-up the scratches, wet sand them, and then polish.
Got any pics?

Personally I never swipe down my car since past experiences with my 2002 Mustang which was black and was full of swirls. If you can try to get a air blower like a leaf blower or some sort that is kept clean and air dry the thing.

ok Ill pipe in on this one.... for minor scratches go to a body shop paint supply shop and look/ask for 3m Products.. specifically.. finesse -it and /or perfect-it 3 Awesome and very very mild compound cleaner for the paint for the grays silvers blacks and blues get a bottle ofliquid ebony normally youd use it to get buffing swirls out.. you can also apply it by hand witha soft cloth.. On that note go to advanged auto parts etc. pick up a pack Of microfiber cloths.. They will NOT scratch the delicate paint and the car looks phenimoinal after just make sure to wash it with mild soap and hang dry... If you are going to use soap on the car... there are 2 great choices the second is my preference... Joy and Woolite... Guess why i like woolite.... Its completely not a harsh soap and minimizes the removal of the wax.... as for wax Macguires wax #26 works great easy to remove, and has a banana like smell... BTW you can mix the wax 2 parts to 1 part 3m perfect it 3 and have a really killer cleaner wax to get rid of the little dirty areas in the paint... Thats how those of us who show our cars, nail it in one shot not everyone can spend 20 hrs detailing a car... when we go to a show, its 20+ hours of cleaning and prep so we have to get as much done cause there is soooooo much to do.... :)

Most "scratches" never make it to paint. they are scratches in the Clearcoat and when Dirt and Wax build up, they appear white and look as if they have scratched the paint.
I also have a nighthawk black car and when I took delivery, there were these types of scratches, along with swirl marks, all over the car.
I took it to a friend at a bodyshop... he stripped the wax, and re-waxed the car in 3 stages (cant tell you what he used for each stage).
When he was finished, the entire car looks like glass... no scratches or swirl marks. He said this will last about 1-2 years and it will need the last 2 stages done again. The cost was $145.00. Hope this helps.
