Just returned from a trip to Hot Springs, AR. Wish the weather had been better. RAIN RAIN RAIN. ARRRRGHHH.

Took a few pics. Enjoy nature at its finest. The Accord did well. 30 to 33 MPG even running up and down the curvy mountain roads, many trips up the hills in 3rd gear at 60-65 MPH. Just wish the Accord drove with more precision.

One of them:yes: But those roads are more fun in an MT....not an AT.

Nice pix though!! Even with the naked trees!:paranoid:

Which area is Hot Springs in? The only place I've been in Ark is Harrison, NW corner. It's pretty up there too.

Hot Springs is about 120 miles due south on Ark Hwy 7. The AT does quite well as it likes to downshift and hold the gear all the way up the hill, and the grade logic really saves your brakes on the way down.

I'm sure it should read "53 miles of fun ahead"

Oh, I'm not saying it's not fun with an AT! We've had a blast coming down from the Tahoe area on hwy. 50 & 88. That's when he really feel in love with my car!

I'm just saying as a general rule MTs are considered much more fun on those kind of roads. They wouldn't be for me though. I haven't done it in such a long time, I'd have to think too much!!:paranoid:

Actually, I am not sure the AT in 7 gen is that much less fun. We went to the roadtrip to eastern provinces last summer and it did very well on the eastern Quebec twisties. Of course I was lowering the gear constantly, but it's quite easy to to with that shifter.
I drove a stick for many years and came to realization that the shifting process is just too cumbersome in a lot of situations.
