hey i was wondering if someone help me out, i got an 08 ex-l 4 cylinder accord coupe and i absolutely love it. But at the same time i wish i had a little more acceleration, just a little more kick and i was wondering if someone could help me out with how i can do that.
I dont really know anything about cars, so i dunno what all the different parts are or how to install it at all, so if someone could explain it in simple language id appreciate it.
I enjoy my four cylinder alot and really like the gas mileage it gets, and the v6 was just too expensive for me.
If anyone could help me out id appreciate it.

Parts haven't started coming out quite yet. You'll know when they're available if you check these boards semi-often.

unfortunately, there's not much you can do at this time.
But there will be some intake(fujita should come out soon) / exhaust in few months.

cool and i know this is gonna sound noobish but what how exactly does a different intake/exhaust change the driving experience, is it better acceleration, handling, etc? and how much would that cost, if yall dont mind telling me

hi
The issue with performance parts for engine is there basically 2 ways these thing raise performance.
1) HP, while its great to see high numbers spec'ed for a car this can be very deceiving value. A lot of times things like cam's, intake manifolds and even larger exhaust system may provide increase in HP. It will generally be in mid to high end of rpm range. This maybe great if your on track or like to constantly keep your rpm up (if you have a stick) but may not be great for a daily commute car.
2) torque, this is really what most people want more of, instant lb's of torque gives you power and pulling ability at whatever range. the problem this is harder one to increase without raising the rpm band that it maxes at.
So, you must be careful and do research on parts as to what affect it will do on vehicle performance.
for example, lets take new exhaust systems, say there 2 systems, one 2 1/4 in dia and a 3' dia system. the 3" will give more HP at higher rpms but might lose torque in low to mid range.
the 2 1/4 will give more wider increase but will be smaller improvement on HP and same with torque (this might not change much)
Sorry for log rant, this question come up a lot I see on forums and there no easy answer cause it depends on usage of vehicle.
Now the intake there talking about is just a cold induction system. basically takes colder air from fender area with a free flow air-filter. don't expect huge performance increase, be like 5 hp and same on torque with K-24 engines.
I don't know on exhaust systems yet, haven't seen specs on size or prices.
PS: many people get exhaust more for sound than performance and this goes to the (CAI) cold air induction systems too as there generally louder
I would imagine a super charger option will hit the shelves in the not to distant future for the I4 folks, perhaps for the v6 cars to... for now just enjoy your car.
It's an expensive alternative for those that have the cash to spend... but if that is the case those people probably should have gotten the v6 option from the manufacturer. If your looking for low cost enhancements, think of it like this... Horsepower is never free. Intake and exhaust options are costly and rarely yield much enhancement unless you are doing more to the powerplant
That being said, you can do one thing to make your car accelerate faster and handle better, and as always it's free! make your car weight less by taking un-necessary weight off it.
