I bought the PSX-9 9-spoke "chrome look" HFP wheels for my 2008 V6 6-speed coupe.

I weighted the new wheel on a high quality digital bathroom scale. Measured the wheel two ways. Wheel alone and person alone and person holding wheel.

The scale said the wheel weights 23.2 pounds. A little higher with the person subtraction measurement.

Honda dealer installed them today for $185.

Weighed the OEM 18" wheel (ten spoke) on the same scale. 27.0 pounds.

About a 15% weight reduction.

When you buy the HFP wheels you get new TPMS sensors. The dealer tried to keep my old ones. I had to go back in and ask for them. At $85 each, I thought that would happen....

The car is the Polished Metal color. The "chrome look" wheels look like smoked (tinted) chrome. They really, really, look nice on that car!!!

I will take some pictures tomorrow.

BTW - Mt car now has 700 miles on it. No squeaks, rattles, problems, defects, or complaints. The car is perfect. The engine and transmission are amazing. Driving this car is as delightful as my previous NSX.

Thinking about the HFP suspension next........

Absolutely - I am still waiting to see how the HFP wheels look compared to the ones from factory. Please post when you have a chance.

When I sold my stock 18's with tires on ebay, if I remember correctly each box weighed 59 pounds. I put each rim/tire in a 22 inch rim box and taped it up. I dont think the box/tape could have weighed that much.

The pics are in another thread.
The wheel weights are without tires.
27.0 lbs OEM 10 spoke (per scale)
23.2 lbs HFP 18" wheel (per scale)

The new wheels do come with new tire pressure monitors .

The new wheels raise the tire pressure setpoint to 39 psi even though the tire shows a max pressure of 35 psi. The dealer swapped out the federal sticker in the door jam indicating the cold pressure at 39 PSI. The TPMS is programmed with triggers (high alarm and low alarm) around the new 39 psi setpoint.

The dealers first attempt to program the new sensors failed and the system light illuminated the day after the installation. The fix supposedly was to redo the intialization process.

IF anyone is interested in the OEM wheels send me a PM
