I currently use Meguiar's Hot Shine and although I love the way it makes my tires look after use, I don't like the residue it throws back on the rear bumper / HFP kit. I try not to put too much of it on hoping to reduce the residue problem, but the way it sprays on and stays on, you have to apply a good amount to get that even spread. I even try doing it late at night so that it has plenty of time to settle by morning when I next drive the car. That doesn't seem to work either.
I have tried the gels, and they look great, but they are very messy to apply, and they kickback a lot of residue as well. I have tried just about everything you can get at Pep Boy's / Auto Zone...I am figuring that there are some online dealers who don't sell their products in those stores.
With that said, anyone else know of any products that give you a long lasting shine, that are easy to apply, and that do no throw back onto the car?

The trick with Hot Shine is to wipe it off after 10-15 minutes, no more sling. Another alternative is to apply it to a sponge or applicator then put it on the tire.
Two that work for me and don't sling are Stoner's More Shine and Poorboy's Bold & Bright.

+1 on the PB Bold and Bright. Its pretty much all I use. Slight gloss finish, but more matte then anything. Lasts for a couple of weeks as well. No sling at all.
Definitely get an applicator and dont buy spray on tire dressings...

+1 ... I'd never let the foam or spray just sit on the tire...clean tires first during wash,, apply product, clean some of the paint, come back to tires, wipe the excess tire shine product off

Dupont......Teflon dressing is by FAR the best IMHO. Its not greasy.......it almost goes on like water. Also it soaks in fast and does not splash up on your car.

i've used black magic shine and meguiar's hot tire shine and meguiars slings a lot more and adds more "synthetic" shine. imo, black magic shine is a little more natural looking.
for both, i usually wipe it off 15 mins later or so. it still looks very clean and shiny. theres no need to have it super plasticy shiny anyways

I have found the New Armor All Extreme Tire Shine works best. It is a gel that comes with an applicator pad and it shines very well with absolutely 0 sling. And for $7 the bottle will last you for a long time and the shine stays on for a decent amount of time.

I don't know how you are applying it but it gives it a great shine and never flings off...never looks like there is any "jizz" on my tires.

That truly makes me laugh! I've never really disliked any tire shine. The only ones I don't like are the ones that make them look REALLY shiny.

Never used it, but I've seen pics. Too glossy for me...
