I'm a newbie and this is my first thread. From the first time I saw the new 08 Coupe, I knew I had to have one. Admit to staying up until 2am on Saturday nights reading threads in the 08 Forum(addictive).
Opted for the V6 w/5AT - Travel 120 miles/day. In the AM, hit the Interstate and set the cruise to 80 mph, great to see the ECO light come on while cruising! The game in the AM run is avoiding getting stuck behind trucks, their tires love to toss debris at you. In the first week of ownership saw a stone fly up and kiss the windshield resulting in a small chip.
Gas mileage so far -11 fills ups - I log every one - 24.5 mpg to 26.6 mpg - overall avg. 25.5 mpg. 90% highway with a slightly heavy foot.
60% oil life remaining according to MM @ 4600 miles.
Premium Audio System - adequate for now, would like a little more zip out of it. Will keeps reading the forums.
Quality - This is the first new car purchased that I found nothing wrong with/did not have to go back to the dealer. And believe me, I look high and low. No squeeks, rattles, vibrations, VCM, transmission, or fit and finish issues.
Just realized this morning that over the years, all my new car purchases have been 1st year designs - '81 Olds Cutlass Coupe, '88 Pontiac Grand Prix Coupe, '92 Pontiac Bonneville, '01 Dodge Stratus R/T(which was replaced after 192,191 miles by the '08 Accord), '02 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4x4(still part of the fleet). All vehicles driven well over 100,000 miles before retirement.
The goal for the '08 Accord is 10 years, 300,000 miles.
OK, off the soap box and on with the pics.
