So what the hell does thing do?

So I finally got my Taffeta White '08 Coupe, and although everything on this forum has pretty much explained all the features and bugs of the Coupe, I still have a couple of questions that might not have been answered yet (correct me if I'm wrong though).

First off, there is a blue light between the two map-lights in the front which only turns on when the lights are on....what does that do? Is it supposed to be an accent light like the orange ones in BMW's?

Secondly, does anyone know the BEST setting for the Premium Audio System? Right now I have everything at "C", and it sounds just fine... anything to improve it?

Lastly, what's the difference between XM1 and XM2?

Any input appreciated. Sorry if the questions sounds dorky, but jumping from a Civic DX, even power windows are luxury to me, let alone a 6 CD changer. Thanks

by the way, I'd like to apologize for the sub-par title, I've been told to proofread back in the good old days, but that habit has slowly died off.

1. its "accent" lighting, nothing special
2. if you like it where it is, then leave it. It's all up to your tastes
3. xm1 and xm2 just allow you to add more presets...same as FM1 and FM2

Unfortunately its been raining for a while now, so I havent had the chance to clean the car to take pics, but once the sun starts shining, I'll post some new ones.


Just one more thing that I forgot to ask was what the sensor in the front of the dashboard is? Is it a rain sensor, light sensor...what is it?

Light sensor for the headlights. 08 Accord does not have rain sensor, unfortunately.

There is also a sunlight senor for the climate control system next to the light sensor.

Everyone's audio preferences differ but I've found these settings to work well: Bal/Fader C, Treb 4, Bass 2, Sub 3.

Remember that the stereo is MP3/WMA compatible, too. We have another thread somewhere talking about it with screens shots.

1. It is an interior accent light that shines on the shifter.
2. When i was messing with the system in an '08, i found it was best at Bal/fade C, Bass +3, Sub +3, and treb +4.
3. They are different channel settings. You can set 12 total XM channels. EX. The XM1 ones can be the six you like most, and the XM2 can be the ones you listen to to relax.
