Wow! You went whole hog this time amigo. Did you get rid of the....was it a Mazda?
Were you able to order a J-Spec on the new one?

Inspector1

It's PMM ... I need to have another cup of Java...

Nope on the J-vin. V6W/nav means coming from Marysville.

I have a call out to my friend at the factory to see if I can find the exact day. If I have a light schedule it may warrant a trip to see it come off the line.

There are 2 others in the city at other dealers but I told him I'm in no rush as long as I have it before the .9% 24-36 Month and 2.9% 37-60 Month is still good. The rates on Accords and Civics just came out the 1st so that made me pull the trigger;)

I1:)

P.S. The MPV is still on the drive.(But will be gone next week)

I anxiously await the pictures. Although I still want a V-6 six speed sedan the Altime SE was the only thing in the $$$ ballpark. I declined due to several niggling problems (mainly the clunky 6 speed) and will hang on to mine. Just ordered Yokohama Avid V4S's for it.....painfully expensive.

I am going to call my friend at the tire store and see what he would set me back to swap my new Michelin's for 4 New Toyo Versados.

Plus I would have to clear it with my accountant;)

Looking forward to the pics Inspector. I sure it will look "Marvelous".

I know what the wait is like, mine was a month so that I didn't have to be stuck with silver or white.

Thanks for the kind words on my new truck.

Congrats, I1 - looks great! I think. Hope you got some extra $$ off since you're doing the dealer prep on this thing. But knowing you, you wouldn't have wanted it any other way - no dealer's prep equipment will touch that virgin finsih!!

Looking forward to the pictures after the protective covering comes off. But one caution. When I picked out the '06 Pilot (Steel Blue metallic) it was like that with the protective coverings on it. When I took delivery, you could see under the protective covering that the paint was blotchy - but only under cloudy skies - in the direct sun when we took delivery it was pristine. In my case, it was a utility vehicle with a lease, so I just lived with it. But knowing YOU, that'd be unsatisfactory - so hopefully you don't have to go back with a problem. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Dam dude you must have been really impatient; they didn't even take the stickers off the car yet. Did you at least let them inspect the car?

But seriously congrats on the car. I remember them getting my car off the truck and how excited I was when the car was rolled off the truck.

I know what you mean on the blotchy. My Pilot had it after they prepped(basic pull off covers , wash and mar)a little Poorboys Pro Polish cleaned it right up. That's why I told them to leave the Accord alone!!

The quicker it is off the dealers lot and in my garage the less likely to get any damage. My sales rep had it stuck in a corner until I picked it up.
The prep dudes were out back when I drove by with their dirty shop rags washing a car..:paranoid:

That color really suits the car. The depth and reflection of the paint is exemplary......stand by for rain as soon as the old car goes to its new owner

Does the interior really seem as huge as I have read about compared to previous Accords?

Did you "order" your car?? I ask because last year when I was out shopping I wanted to "order" mine and was told Honda dealer don't order cars for customers. If there is one in the "pipe line" they will have it diverted to that dealer. Turns out what I wanted wasn't in the pipe line so I had to buy off the dealers lot.

Did my Honda dealer lie to me???

I had to pick up an oil filter yesterday for the 02 so I drove the 08 the 1 mile to parts store and a nice 8 mile cruise on back roads(My fathers day treat).

Yes I ordered mine. It was still considered a dealer trade. They took it from another dealers build allotment to expedite delivery.

Your dealer just wanted to take care of them.:thumbsdow

Wait for the right buyer who can appreciate the quality of the car, you only need ONE.

I had a number of people low-balling my 96' Integra GSR when I got the Accord last summer since I was asking for a fairly high price as the car is in mint condition, all I can tell them is "Sorry, I'm not willing to give the car away."

I only had 4 or 5 inquires over the span of 3 weeks, only 1 person came to see the car, I was starting to get worried that this is going to be a pain, but someone who was truely interested but could not buy it suggested I put it up in the local Prelude forum.

Within less than 2 hours, 1 person commented that he forwarded the post to his sister since it is in the right price range, she contacted me the next night to arrange a time to see the car, her and her boyfriend came to see it Sunday morning at 10:30, I can see their jaws drop when they got out of their car! :)

They stayed an hour and half, left, and sent me an email at 2pm offering me the amount I was looking for, we met at 4pm for her to give me $1,000 deposit, I got the car safety certified Monday morning, and the car changed ownership by 2pm Monday afternoon.

Things can happen quickly with the right buyer.
