Anybody here who is using a good Quick Detailer which has Anti-Static properties. Dust and pollen accumulate fast on my Blackhawk. I read good reveiws of #425 unfortunately it is not available near my area! I saw a Dupont brand with Anti-static properties has anybody tried this?

Dupont Ion Car Polish

DuPont™ Ion Car Polish neutralizes static energy and leaves a synthetic wax barrier that repels dirt and dust.

Safe to apply to rubber, vinyl, plastic, painted and clear coated surfaces, DuPont™ Ion Car Polish polishes in just minutes. The shine lasts longer than conventional waxes/polishes.

No. Have you tried it yet? If not you should and report back:yes:.

Oh I moved your thread to the proper section... I also don't think 8th gen paint is unique from 7th, 6th, 5th etc....:dunno:

This stuff here is awesome. Scroll down to the express detail.

Either the 146 or 425 is good. I prefer the 425, but I also like the 146.

Another vote for #425. It's not near anyone's area you have to order it online.
Get the gallon and a four ounce mist sprayer.

I was torn between Dupont which is available locally and FK #425, I ended up ordering the FK #425 since we got members here who already tested this item.
To those who were able to use this product, is this like Turtle Wax Ice which doesnt leave any white residue, no haze and easy on and off?

I recently picked up a 16oz bottle of CG's Speed Wipe and was very impressed with it. It wipes off very slick and doesnt streak. And it has anti-static properties.

You use very little and simply wipe until it disappears. I did my Accord today and the Rav4 (including the roof & luggage rack) with less than two ounces. Oh, did the windows on both, the wheels, trim, mirrors, and mudflaps too.

Get a fine mist sprayer in either 4 or 8 ounce size. The bottle it comes in (not the gallon of course) sprays too much and wastes a lot. I ordered a gallon about five years ago and I'm down to 1/2 due to using the fine mist bottles.

Another option is Optimum Instant detailer and Gloss Enhancer. Im not sure if there is technically a "anti static" ingredient (I dare put it to the test out west when the Santa Anas are blowing and humidity is in single digits). A lot of products claim "Anti static" but whos to really put it to a anti static test?

The new Optimum products interest me a great deal. I live where dust is the norm and I can positively say that a spray/wipedown with #425 does indeed keep the dust at bay for up to one week. I have tested it against many products and it slows the dust accumulation better than any I have tried.

If I didn't have a 1/2 gallon or more each of Optimum Wax (old formula), FK #425, Poorboy's Spray & Gloss, and Aqua Wax, I would buy the new Opti Detailer/Gloss Enhancer & Opti Wax today. By the way these are the products, along with others, that I tested the #425 against.....it won hands down in repelling dust and looks although the look had a short life, a week perhaps.

The additional uses of FK#425 keeps it on the top of my list. Uses like plasma TV screens, computer LCD screens, and other "touchy" areas. The new Optimum products may indeed excel in these areas but I have too much stock currently to warrant buying more to test them.

By the way, Exceldetail offers superb products and prices folks. He is anxious to help and responds to e-mails in a very timely manner. Couple that with experience and it boils down to a very good place to order supplies. No, I wasn't paid or bribed for that statement.
