I've seen this done on the Acura TL, well if you don't know they clear out the side of the headlights where the yellow is...has anyone done this to the 08 accord coupe yet? or even, is it possible?

If you're brave enough to open your headlights up, then it's possible.

Good luck.

i remember doing this with my friend on his old civic back in the days...

the whole procedure is something like this...
you have to cook the headlight housing in the oven. (make the silicon glue bit loose.) then take a exacto/razor blade and cut it open where the silicon glue is. then you have to separate the amber markers on the headlight housing.
then it's matter of your preference.
you can paint the housing...
add some carbon fiber trims, or just take the amber piece off.
put the housing back together.
you have to cook it again with some silicon glue and make it so that no moistures can creep into the housing.
make sure that you are working in a dust/lint free environment (if there is such thing...but) for a lot of particles and dust gets trapped into the clear part of the housing and after you put it together might look nasty...
it sounds pretty simple.. but to get it right.. it takes a long time and precision...

as for my friend's civic.. he didn't do it properly so after a while.. there was moisture inside the housing.. and shattered his light bulbs inside of the housing. so he had to buy a aftermarket headlight housing.

in my opinion, just keep your headlight housing... but it's up to you... i think i saw a DIY post in TL's forum.. if you're really interested..

good luck
