I ordered one through the dealship and they tell me that it cannot be ordered?
I called Honda customer relations and they say that is not true.
Who is telling me the truth?
Does anyone out there own an EX-L / 5-sp manual trans / 4-cyl / with navi?

they tried to give me some excuse about Honda not willing to build the car due to the fact that the demand was too low and they would not provide a bay to build it.
yadda yadda....
thanks again

wow really?
I'm sure there are dealers that have them in stock...and what i would do is if no1 wants them, offer them shit for the car!..if someone has it in stock.

JUST a FYI another member here bought another sedan 5spd MT about 3 months ago that i remember.
Its a remarkably rare car...I found a mere 6 examples on Autotrader...

while its not "rare" its certainly made in significantly lower volume than the other combinations. manuals account for a very small percentage of sedans. EX-L Navi is the least popular trim level (highest price, not many people want/like navi, etc). combine the two and you get the "rarest" sedan trim combo.
The 5AT is much more common than the 5sp in Accords, especially in the sedans. For both my 03 and 06 5sp sedans I had to wait on them. The 06 I had to outright order and wait for a couple months.
You might get lucky and stumble on a trim level / color with a 5sp on a lot somewhere but I'd recommend ordering it and waiting if you don't have to move quickly. You'll get exactly what you want.
The dealer is trying to move on lot inventory.

It's been a couple of months since I've been here.
I L - O - V - E my specially ordered 2008 EX-L 4-cylinder Navi with the
5-speed manual!
I had to special order it. It took them c. 2.5 months to build it, I think. When it came off the truck, he said I was the only one in the country who had this model in white. Someone else may have it now.
Great car. Smooooooooooooooth 5 speed manual, best I've ever had in 29 years of driving manuals. Navi totally worth it.:biggrin:
It'll be tough to get this model. You may need to put a deposit down. I had a dealer that I'd bought from before, and he trusted me totally. But he still wrote up paperwork that said I'd put down a $1000 deposit on my credit card. But he didn't actually charge the card.
What he told me is that they only will build this particular model when the factory gets a total of 30 orders for it. I don't think the color counts, but they need to have 30 orders for EX-L 5 speed manual navis from across the whole country before Ohio will churn an order of these out. The first adopters got that many orders in 2 months. It may take longer now.
I bet most dealers don't want to touch it, because it's too much trouble.
But I'm glad I have the car of my dreams. It's everything I thought it would be and more.
But I am now getting a slight brake squeak at low noise.
Oh well--not even this car is perfect.
If you really want it, expect to pay more and wait 2-3 months.

I don't mind the wait...but Honda is saying that they will build it and the dealer is saying that they won't....

Like earlier suggestions.... might be time to find a different dealer.

The 5MT is extremely rare because demand for it is extremely low (with or without Navi). I know it is a lot more fun to drive, but you might want to keep in mind the resale value of it (if resale is important to you).
I was at my local dealership last week, virtually all 8th gen sedans are 5AT.
Good luck to you! and if it is going to be a long wait, maybe a 2009 model is in order!

But I'm glad I have the car of my dreams. It's everything I thought it would be and more.If you want the best balanced, best fuel economy (FE) with power to spare as it will still run the ¼ mile in the 15.8ET range, buttery smooth manual, it’s worth the wait. Though I don’t need NAVI & don’t have a Generation 8 Accord, I am leasing my second EX-L K24 manual sedan for a commuter car. As I have long 85% freeways commute in Houston of 50 miles each way my FE numbers are:
75-80Mph 30.5Mpg
70-75Mph 32.5Mpg
62-65Mph 36.5Mpg
All these numbers are with A/C (I’m in Houston) and are consistently repeatable.
