Will have to see if my audio shop will order multiples for me to review... Pretty sure they will... Am really surprised no one has gotten 1 yet.. onewheelup 05-12-2008, 07:56 PM I just got an e-mail from Scosche: The off tool sample the dual climate control Accord just came in so I will be testing it today or tomorrow. If everything is right on the kit it will ship in a month or so ____________________________ Gavin Kidwell Manufacturer Service Representative Scosche Industries, Inc. skeleto 05-13-2008, 12:28 AM i just ordered the autotoys kit today. kinda weird it doesnt state a brand but it was $65 or something like that.. i forgot. the description says its painted? the metra one can be found for $50 but from my experience metra sucks. i wanted the scosche one.. they can be ordered direct from them but the guy that replied to my emails was being a **** and it costed $79.95+s&H which was ridiculous because online posts say they are retailing for $49.95 and even their own website's press release was something like $59.95. anyways ill take pics when my dash kit arrives. I just joined this forum to say thanks for posting this! I'm looking at options to add navi and other features without the $3k tag from Honda. Can't wait for the dual-climate control one to hit the market... skeleto 05-21-2008, 12:24 PM the dash kit is here. i was kind of dissappointed when i opened the box and found it was metra. although after i opened the package i was happy. It is pretty close to the factory color just slightly.. will be unnoticeably lighter grey than factory color. pastic felt pretty sturdy compared to some other metra kits ive had before but is still feels brittle compared to the factory pieces. pics will come tonight afterwork. I should have pics with a headunit installed this sunday. shocksyde 05-21-2008, 01:24 PM the dash kit is here. i was kind of dissappointed when i opened the box and found it was metra. although after i opened the package i was happy. I should have pics with a headunit installed this sunday. Looking forward to the pics! I broke down and ordered the Dual Climate Metra yesterday. Scosche said "a few months" for their version. Glad to hear the quality isn't completely horrible. I may have my install guys throw some sound deadening in there just to try and shore up any creaks/vibrations that might show up. Edit: What HU did you choose? skeleto 05-21-2008, 10:59 PM eclipse cd5000. i really want a double din touchscreen but i cant have too many nice things, my car gets broken into too often. JamieJam1AIM 05-22-2008, 04:28 AM Call Scosche Directly for a reputaable list of distributors... Theyll be happy to help you out... :) Scosche's Main # 805-486-4450 hit 0 tell the receptionist you need your local distributor or where to order the part.. skeleto 05-29-2008, 12:31 AM na the scosche guy i emailed was an ass. he tried to charge me $79.95 plus s&h.. wouldnt even allow local pick up.. im right by them.. funny thing i just picked up a schosche kit from millionbuy for $51 shipped. i just received the scosche kit today.. big difference in quality. the kit came in a box vs the plastic bag metra offered. the kit actually feels solid. im kinda dissapointed by the texture though. its kinda rough looking. I wont have time to install it until next weekend so ill see then if it fits correctly. anyways ive had the metra installed for a few days now and I hated it thats why i bought the scosche. the metra felt cheap flimsy, didnt fit correctly. the top part didnt flush witht the dash there is at least a 1/4" gap. the factory buttons stick because the fitment wasnt correct. only thing i liked about it was that the color matched the factory gray trim perfectly. pictures below. as to which kit to ill keep.. tbd.... bruceleroy 05-29-2008, 12:46 AM ever thought of sanding it and painting it to match or maybe to the color of your car? skeleto 05-29-2008, 12:57 AM yes and no. im still busy installing.. its gonna be a while before i even think about that. im going to be bondo'ing somg tweeter panels and maybe even glassing a amp rack. well see.. i dont wanna mess with cosmetics until after ive hooked and tuned everything. shocksyde 05-29-2008, 06:02 AM The good news is that you'll be getting rid of the "****pit o' buttons", as I call it.
