Every once in a while I become too focused on problems like gas mileage, whether ATM Machine is redundant, and how the lack of revenue sharing has ruined major league baseball for small market teams. Then I come across a story like this. In many ways we've all seen a story like this before, but in many ways we haven't. It's an interesting read from an area where I lived for seven years:

VERY interesting.
He's right, sometimes we do think too much!!
I liked that he was honest about wondering WHY ME....& came up with his answer. So many people get stuck at the question.

It is an interesting article, yet I never really understood why people like baseball so much...

The writer of this story was on ESPN Radio yesterday with Scott Van Pelt. He said this story and the young man profiled in it has affected him like no other in 30 plus years of covering sports in Westen PA.
"I used to be afraid, but I'm not afraid of dying now, if that's what you want to know," he said. "Because life ain't about how many breaths you take. It's what you do with those breaths."
True wisdom beyond his years. We should all be this wise.

That truly was touching, for a lack of better words on my part.
It really makes you realize how lucky you are.
