Are there instructions for programming replacement transponder keys for the 2006 Accord LX Sedan? We recently purchased the car from a dealer and it only came with one master and a valet key.
I've heard of people purchasing blanks on eBay and getting them cut/programmed.
I'm a newbie here, so excuse any ignorance! :)

you have to have the dealer do it.

Dealer required security programming. The only programmable option is the keyless entry functions. Shop around because prices may vary between dealerships.

And if you purchased it there, remind them of that and doing this for a nominal fee is good customer relations.

Unfortunately I purchased it from a Toyota dealership. They were pretty rude...it's like, "why are you so stupid to buy a Honda? Toyotas are so much better." It's almost as if they didn't want my business. Luckily the price was so outlandishly good on the 06 Accord LX, I didn't really care. :)
Thanks for the responses. I'll shop around.

Don't pay anyone to program the transmitter. Save a little money. It's very easy to do. Here's the procedure from the manual.

you still need to pay to have the immobilizer programmed.
