I know there are a few guys over at v6performance who have done this. Check over there in the 7th gen forums engine section. 06I45MTSEDAN 05-18-2008, 08:13 AM I'm interested in seeing how quickly the torque and hp peak. Also, why the hell not? chanke4252 05-18-2008, 10:27 AM I'm interested in seeing how quickly the torque and hp peak. Also, why the hell not? because they are slow-ish? 2006AS 05-18-2008, 05:46 PM This is from Fujita's website, but I think it's pretty representative of what our engines are putting out. http://www.f5air.com/images/dyno/ca1914%2006%20accord%202.4%20sulev.GIF Also this was an automatic. I would imagine that a 5-speed will put out at least 5 more WHP. 06I45MTSEDAN 05-18-2008, 07:21 PM because they are slow-ish? Cool you brought nothing to the conversation  . Your 6mt (which you dont have.. so why troll on an accord forum anyway?) and wrx are also slow-ish compared to more dedicated/powerful sports cars. Thats like someone going out of their way to ask why you would even bother asking about your wrx when its just kinda slow compared to an STI. I know its a slower family sedan.. but its all relative and I had a simple question to see if someone knew about what the powerband looked like (thanks 2006AS) so dont be a douche. 06I45MTSEDAN 05-18-2008, 07:29 PM This is from Fujita's website, but I think it's pretty representative of what our engines are putting out. http://www.f5air.com/images/dyno/ca1914%2006%20accord%202.4%20sulev.GIF Also this was an automatic. Makes me wonder how a CAI is going to actually help. Nice to know with optimal conditions the 4banger can put nearly 145 to the wheels. That seems pretty high for the 166hp the engine is being rated. Uh, you had asked in an earlier post "why the hell not?" and chanke4252 provided you with a possibility why that might be the case, with a question mark at the end. Maybe he's poking a little bit of fun, however Chanke4252 had an 06' V6 6MT Coupe right up until very recently, he continues to post on this forum because of his knowledge and willingness to help, which you can probably see from his post count, this is far from being a "troll" or the D word you used, which IMO is very rude and offensive on your part! jeffreyhuhn 05-18-2008, 07:51 PM Uh, you had asked in an earlier post "why the hell not?" and chanke4252 provided you with a possibility why that might be the case, with a question mark at the end. Yeah, that wasn't very nice. 06I45MTSEDAN 05-18-2008, 08:03 PM I asked "why the hell not" because I just wanted to see if anyone had info (not in an angry way) So his comment seemed pretty much useless and also came off as douchy to me. I guess chanke4252 is highly regarded here because he helps people so I'm sorry i called him a troll but either way, that didnt help. I just figure if people come asking about something and you tell a person that their question is irrelevant to you its like... thanks? But if it helps, I wont drop the d bomb so quickly. Aviography 05-18-2008, 08:21 PM "Why the hell not?" certainly sounded angry, especially if you had to later clarify that you weren't, how does someone else know you weren't angry? One highly recommend internet etiquette is to not assume or "drop d bomb" on any forum, you never really know the background of the people you are conversing with, and just might come across worse for wear yourself. There is an old, humours, but good saying: "When you assume, you make an a$$ out of u and me." :) stevencrosbie 05-18-2008, 08:27 PM Before you shoot your mouth off, you might want to do a little research. I wouldn't drop any insults here again as 3 of those insults will get you a sweet ban. Chanke has a lot to offer this forum and has provided tons of helpful posts without insulting other members. I suggest you try to do the same as there is no place here for insults. abailey4 05-19-2008, 03:34 PM The man asked a question and instead of receiving an answer he got a smart ass comment. Now he didnt have to go and call em a "D" word but I see where he's coming from. Now to actually provide some information we had our K24a4 dynoed with all bolt on's except ignition coils and pulse plugs on an auto and we put down 145 whp and 142 ft lbs tq. chanke4252 05-21-2008, 02:54 PM Wow, lol, my posts have been starting a lot of drama since I sold my Accord. I have to admit though, my previous post in this thread wasn't the most constructive thing in the world, hah. 06I45MTSEDAN 05-22-2008, 08:43 PM Yeah.. it wasnt right of me to get so charged about your post so I do apologize to you for that. But I'm probably not gonna research everyone who replies to me.. but i'll try? |
