I have an 04 coupe, LX, has about 76k on the clock, and everything is great with the car, but lately ive been noticing that the door lock on the drivers side will not completly lock or unlock, i think my lock motor or something may be going out, can anyone give me any imput on what may be happening. This is what happens

Whether i used the key fob, or inside the car, I can lock or unlock the car but if i do it a second time, the lock will not fully lock or unlock it again, its like theres not enough power to lock or unlock the door.

had the same thing happen to the civic of a friend of mine. She took it to Honda and they (i think) found out it was a bad wire or a burned fuse that led the door not to lock properly with or without fob/button. Better get it checked out, its nothing serious though except for the inconvenience I'd assume

Yeah i hear that, i may do that, or i may just pull the door panel to see whats up for myself before forking out some cash for the stealership

No funny noises ever?

I'm leaning toward a bad actuator...

pretty similar to mine...you may need to replace your door lock actuator

It takes about an hour to replace.....:dunno: I have no clue about part cost.
