Has there been a change or a lax attitude in people joining just to post for sale items? There are several that have less than 10 posts, poor or no pictures......what's up MODS? New attitude or they just got missed? Is there a new rule or what?

See, part of the problem is that Steve's done such a GREAT job of doing this in the past, I've never had to clean up the class. ad section - and fankly didn't realize till today I had the mod priv's to even DO that stuff. Now I know, and will be more vigilant. :salue:

Classifieds is a cake walk..... It's the 8th gen forum thats all muddled up with everything from maint to mods to wheels and tires :dunno:

i try to post as much as i can. but i'm usually working on my car or at work, or sleeping. now if i was able to post while i sleep, then i'd have like 10k plus posts lol

Yup, very annoying. Some of those members need to watch that movie in Steve's sig. Haha.

The point is that you are not the only one responsible for taking care of problems. Wake up call for the others?

Very good point, it seems to be onto itself and follows no form or function.

I think the mentality with the 8th gen forum has been..'is it attached to a/my 8th gen accord ?' if 'yes', why not create a topic on it to try to get more specific help than in the individual general sections that sometimes don't see the traffic... tbh , ill fess up...i pay a bit more attention to 8th gen forum stuff unless the header or topic is real good elsewhere to lure me in.

sucks, but maybe some folks, myself included ,will stop muckin' up the waters after reading this...

on another note, im glad to see the tone of the forum back to a good spot and the 'back and forth' banter has seemed to have subsided.

If there is a post that needs attention, please report the post either by clicking the button or PMing the mods. I usually get the messages about "Reported Post" and take care of it immediately, but I'm just not around much anymore...it's finals this week too.

Please keep in mind that we're all busy people, and Steven and I don't even drive Honda's anymore. Princess is going through a move (and a rough patch too), and some of the others have just slipped into the background. It's just the natural progression of a forum...mods are nominated, become active, become inactive, buy new cars, get new jobs, have to move, have children, whatever life calls for.

Believe me, we understand that it drives people nuts to see these ads, because I was there once. This, combined with the mess we call the 8th gen forum, is why we are nominating new mods. Hopefully they will be able to clear the water and get the forum back on track :thmsup:
