Ok, so a while back the passager rear deck speaker blew out and it had been driving me crazy so I decided to replace both rear speakers with new higher quality ones. I ended up deciding on JBL GTO927. Mainly because of their high efficiency and that many people I have heard from say that JBL's produce alot of bass, which I wanted from the back. I thought about Infiniti's but I have heard from some that they produce great highs but they sometimes lack in bass. Another issue that I decided to reasearch was the 2 ohms speakers with a stock HU. Some would suggest that it may "burn" up my stock HU, but I think it should be fine, I couldnt really find any complaints of people blowing their 4ohm HU with 2ohm speakers on the internet. Plus there seem to be alot of people running kappas, which are 2ohms. I also talked to a guy at crutchfield who said it should be fine. Ok enough with my rambling on to the pictures.

The magnets are much bigger than the small stock neo mags. You can also see the speaker adapter pluged into the factory connector. This makes the install really easy no cutting wires.
These speakers sound much better than the factory speakers, and they hit much harder. I have had to fade the sound a little to the front F2 i think, to make the sound match. The whole system sounds good for now, they mix well with the factory fronts, but I will eventually end up replacing those as well so I have a matching system.

Here is a bottom up view. I tried to point out the clips that must be removed to pry off factory grills. I found it easiest to use pliers to sqeeze and push the clips upward from the trunk before prying off the grill. There is also one smaller black clip on the other side of the speaker that I could not point out in the picture.
Another note here is that the factory holes did not completely line up with those in the JBL's. I only have 2 screws in each right now. My drill wouldn't work when I went to plug it in:boohoo:. I plan on doing dynamat back here sometime soon anyways so I'll just take care of it then. 2 screws seem to hold them in fine for now.

After the install i noticed a really annoying rattle comming from the rear because the bass was hitting pretty hard. After investingating I noticed that it was comming from the lock on the rear deck. I found that if I pulled the plastic cover tight with my fingers it would stop. Eventually my solution was to just take some of the foam that came with the speakers and cut it out to make a little ring around the inside of the plastic trim. It holds it tight and no more annoying rattle. The plastic trim can be pulled out pretty easy just using your fingers.

FREE!!! I was going to place these in the classified section but I do not have enough posts. If anyone has a blown 6x9 and wants a factory replacement you can have my good one. I have them marked so I know which is the good and which is blown. I don't want anything for it just as long as who ever wants it will either pay for shipping or come pick it up. I live in Wilmington, NC. I will be out of town durring the week so if someone wants it, I will not be able to ship until whenever the next weekend is. Send me a PM if you are interested.
