Does this generation of Accord use ANC? I have a non-navi 07 Accord EXL Sedan and was going to install a Audio Control LC6 but the installer was hesistant and was insistant that the 07-08 models were affected. Can anyone clarfiy?

The 7th gen only uses ANC in the Hybrid. All other models are without the technology.

No. Microphones listen to the noises inside the car and produce a sound wave exactly opposite to the noise thereby cancelling it out. Think of the Bose noise cancelling headphones except on a grander scale. Here's a quick little blurb on it:

The reason behind this technology is to reduce the amount of noise transmitted from the engine when it is in 3-cylinder mode as it vibrates than when all 6 cylinders are running together. It's pretty clever but I think Honda needs to do more perfecting since our Odyssey makes this annoying rumbling sound from the speakers at around 2100rpm. Oh well...
