Mase764 06-17-2008, 10:47 AM fuse? Buckle Up ! Safety First! treday630 06-17-2008, 10:49 AM OK I know going to be an ass by saying this but...... TRY WEARING YOUR DAMN SEATBELT AND YOU WON'T HEAR THOSE CHIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! clewttu 06-17-2008, 10:52 AM vag com is a VW thing...but only way i know is unplugging the sensor for the buckle...kills your airbag, ie bad idea i guess there is prob a way to turn it off in the ecu with the right software and hardware, but i dont know if anything exists (cuz a dealer will almost assuredly not do that for you) turbodave 06-17-2008, 11:25 AM Because of liability issues, and the federal laws, I doubt you'll find anyone willing to post how to disable a safety device, especially one that important. KunalPatel87 06-17-2008, 11:26 AM ^Exactly. Huge liability to this forum. This thread will be locked shorty. lldsandsll 06-17-2008, 11:36 AM are we all attorneys? i dont see how telling someone how disable their seatbelt minder is ACTUALLY a liability of anyone on this forum or the forum itself. you are misinformed. turbodave 06-17-2008, 11:54 AM are we all attorneys? i dont see how telling someone how disable their seatbelt minder is ACTUALLY a liability of anyone on this forum or the forum itself. you are misinformed. I'm misinformed? Ya right, whatever. KunalPatel87 06-17-2008, 11:57 AM DA is a public forum where discussions on disabling mandatory safety devices will not be allowed to continue. This simply isn't the place for that. Further discussions could possibility bring legal consequences to this site if something happens. stevencrosbie 06-17-2008, 12:05 PM DA will not be responsible for information that bypasses a mandatory saftey item in the cars. Besides that...I'd be all for letting people not wear them except I have to pay for the uninsured when they are injured from the accident. Thread is closed. |
