Passat774 06-21-2008, 09:28 AM We do not even know if they work yet?? Who's going to try :)
To much $$$$ for me
_JuztaJ_ 06-21-2008, 09:32 AM i just got back today from grand cayman and i saw a blue sedan with these but it was parked and im guessing when you put it into park the fold in because thats how i saw it unless he pushed them in but it looks beautiful i loved the look but this is wayy too much
TSaysanasong 06-21-2008, 10:02 AM I would love to buy it but I think my wife would flip out on me for spending $800 on side mirrors...
08coupe23 06-21-2008, 10:45 AM I don't like them. They seem too round. I love the "flat top" design of the mirrors already. Especially on the coupe.
RTexasF 06-21-2008, 11:01 AM Wow! I've paid less for entire cars that ran well.
nighthawkcoupe 06-21-2008, 11:07 AM If you are willing to spend 800 bucks on mirrors, you should have bought a nicer car in the first place.
KUNAL 06-21-2008, 11:18 AM ^^^^^ lol exactly if style is your motto, Accord is not the car you need to look elsewhere! By the way thats outrageously expensive. :thumbsdow
Jakerx 06-21-2008, 11:29 AM If you are willing to spend 800 bucks on mirrors, you should have bought a nicer car in the first place.+1,000
bukxanger 06-21-2008, 11:40 AM wow!!.. lol how expensive... but wouldnt mind havin them...
crivo3 06-21-2008, 11:45 AM What are the odds of these things coming down in price? I mean they look great, very mercedes, but there only side mirrors!
nighthawkcoupe 06-21-2008, 12:18 PM They should come down in price eventually. They make the prices so high at first because some idiots will pay it to be the first to have them. I like the turn signal in the mirror, especially since our turn signals are hard to see from the side to begin with, but I do like the shape of our stock mirrors a lot better.
What are the odds of these things coming down in price? I mean they look great, very mercedes, but there only side mirrors!
Give them a couple months.
leeleee 06-21-2008, 12:54 PM 800?!
Brenzo 06-21-2008, 02:01 PM I don't like them. They seem too round. I love the "flat top" design of the mirrors already. Especially on the coupe.
I agree I think the stock mirrors look alot sportier, these look like they belong on the side of a mini-van or something. Different is not alwasy better. I'll spend the $800 on gas.
8thGenInspire 06-21-2008, 02:42 PM Yea way to much for me but I saw them and I was like OMG! haha I love the feature when you put your car in reverse the side mirrors tilt down. My dad's type S does that
MSchu 06-21-2008, 02:48 PM REPOST!... got to be quick around here
8thGenInspire 06-21-2008, 02:52 PM wow just saw the thread...ur quick Schu!

KUNAL 06-21-2008, 06:55 PM remember that the mirrors are 800 tack on another 125 for shipping that makes them close to a 1k you will need a 1k members to fork up 10 bucks............good luck! :naughty:
MSchu 06-21-2008, 07:01 PM Hes also go the sedan wood wheel for sale... smokin deal!
FYI, look at the shipping cost.
Mase764 06-21-2008, 07:02 PM haha yea give it some months.. it will come down..
dexterdog 06-21-2008, 08:06 PM remember that the mirrors are 800 tack on another 125 for shipping that makes them close to a 1k you will need a 1k members to fork up 10 bucks............good luck!
You need to work on your math. He'd be able to buy a couple of sets of mirrors if 1k members gave him 10 dollars each.
Also, the mirrors are for sale. They definitely are not on sale as the thread title states.
KunalPatel87 06-21-2008, 08:10 PM Why not get RL or TL mirrors?
Mr.accord 06-22-2008, 06:09 AM dam that just too expensive
pazbien 06-22-2008, 08:21 AM Why not get RL or TL mirrors?
My point exaclty. The RL mirrors fit the Accord assembly and look the same. If I get the accord that's what i'll be doing. (the greatest part is that they cost 100-200$)
nighthawkcoupe 06-22-2008, 08:33 AM If I were to get tl mirrors, how would I wire them so that the turn signals work?
MySilver_08 06-22-2008, 09:34 AM [QUOTE=crivo3;254103]What are the odds of these things coming down in price? I mean they look great, very mercedes, but there only side mirrors![/QUOTE
The way for the price to come down, is if nobody bought them. Then the seller would just have to look at the stock collect dust. :D
MSchu 06-22-2008, 11:13 AM I have talked to this guy... he seems aware now that his shipping and pricing is kind of high... but the dollar is very weak, so there ya go. I think that steering wheel is nice, not that I would use it but I would like to have it. For the sedan guys I have him checking on the rear valance... it may also fit a coupe, who knows till we try
_JuztaJ_ 06-22-2008, 11:27 AM also for the sedan guys go to the ebay link in the first page of this thread and go to view more items from this seller he's selling nice inspire headlights if i had a sedan id deff. buy them
taffwh2008sedan 06-22-2008, 01:55 PM also for the sedan guys go to the ebay link in the first page of this thread and go to view more items from this seller he's selling nice inspire headlights if i had a sedan id deff. buy them
I wonder if those lights would be legal here, with the blinker lens being white instead of yellow.
MSchu 06-22-2008, 02:09 PM the answer is no... But who's gonna tell :-P
Osiris_x11 06-22-2008, 02:10 PM The way I would look this...
- what's the cost of color-matched OEM side-mirrors for a relevant USDM '08 Accord (ie. LX w/o heated-mirrors, EX/EX-L w/ heated-mirrors)... using online OEM Honda parts catalog, MSRP for an OEM '08 Accord EX mirror is ~$310/each!
- vehicles in RHD markets have different shaped side-mirrors vs. LHD markets (ie. shape/angle/orientation/concavity of actual mirror is different on the passenger side compared to driver side).
- look into TSX/TL/RL options from wreckers/salvagers/etc'... (in-fact, a late-model TL in San Antonio recently had it's side-mirrors "removed" and the owner posted on the local Craigslist to give a heads-up to other locals).
taffwh2008sedan 06-22-2008, 02:33 PM vehicles in RHD markets have different shaped side-mirrors vs. LHD markets (ie. shape/angle/orientation/concavity of actual mirror is different on the passenger side compared to driver side).
That's an excellent point. Otherwise, you may end up with concave driver's side mirror, wouldn't that be fun... I think if somebody is going to import a pair of mirrors, they better come from a LHD country -- ie. China, Thailand or the Philippines.
MSchu 06-22-2008, 02:39 PM This mirror swap has been done for years by the JDM crowd, I really do not think it is any biggie. It's not something I would consider doing because I dont want to haul around more weight in the form of folding mechanisms.
Osiris_x11 06-22-2008, 03:26 PM That's an excellent point. Otherwise, you may end up with concave driver's side mirror, wouldn't that be fun... I think if somebody is going to import a pair of mirrors, they better come from a LHD country -- ie. China, Thailand or the Philippines. If a mirror-swap is a simple plug-n-play, then that can be addressed as the replacement OEM mirrors are quite inexpensive (MSRP: $15/driver's, $19/passenger's).
Ex. swap the USDM-specific (L) mirror on the JDM/foreign (L) mirror-housing w/ the turn-signal lamp/lens, etc'...
It's not something I would consider doing because I dont want to haul around more weight in the form of folding mechanisms.Ditto! Also, less eletronics/complexity - the better as far as I'm concerned. Extra-bulbs, fuses, etc'... ehh', I'll pass. I already hate changing the bulbs on my side-markers, front bumper-lights, and license-plate lights whenever they 'burn' out and I need them functional for State vehicle inspection, etc'... :(
MSchu 06-22-2008, 03:27 PM agreed... whole heartedly
KUNAL 06-22-2008, 07:10 PM You need to work on your math. He'd be able to buy a couple of sets of mirrors if 1k members gave him 10 dollars each.

lol ........... i meant to say 100 members.:paranoid:
Mase764 06-22-2008, 07:21 PM guys jsut give me money.. lol
coolcarmaniac87 06-22-2008, 08:13 PM wow...way to expensive....i think its probably going to be cheaper in a couple months...same thing happened to my 04 corolla...lol
Fish Hunter 06-23-2008, 09:58 AM Keep in mind that the "objects or closer than they appear" printed on the mirror will be on the left side mirror as this was built other (non US) countries, they driver drives on the right hand side (backwards lol) over der!! LOL
native.texan 06-23-2008, 11:03 AM Steering wheel that seller also offers with "wood accent" looks nice. Not too crazy about the mirrors, though, as they appear a bit bulky.
mike.
justeddie 06-23-2008, 11:26 AM Like I had said in my previous thread I will see how much they REALLY go for in Asia and report back my findings. $800 is just pure theft in my opinion.
As far as taking RL or TL side mirrors, they are NOT the same and do NOT use the same housing as the Accord. If they were we wouldn't be discussing using JDM mirrors. You can try making them fit but that would require alot of trial and error that I just am not willing to go through.
As far as color, the black and white are exactly the same just different name so I will be good in that respect. For the silver, PMM, red and blues... I just dont know for sure.
Osiris_x11 06-23-2008, 12:00 PM I'm wondering if the outer-shell w/ the turn-signal lens of the JDM side-mirror can be acquired separately and simply swapped onto the existing USDM side-mirror (along w/ the 'internal' turn-signal lamp)?
Looking at the Honda OEM parts schematic, components of the side-mirror can be purchased separately.

justeddie 06-23-2008, 12:05 PM Yes the Honda mirror cover can be purchased seperately. But while in our honda the only colored piece is the cover (everything else is black plastic), for the inspire and RL and TL, there is no cover you can purchase seperately because the whole assembly is color-coded.

another reason i like these mirrors no black plastic makes the car look more luxurious..

portablecow 06-25-2008, 09:09 AM ^^ Haha, I love it.
dbassett74 06-25-2008, 09:16 AM Stock mirrors have much nicer shape, but I do like the turn signals and possible motorized folder in feature. Definitely too expensive right now. If they drop in half, I may consider them...
TranceField 09-19-2008, 06:22 AM those are way too much... LOL I wouldn't spend that much on mirrors... But once the price comes down... I might pick them up...
k24z3 09-19-2008, 06:26 PM That price is ridiculous. Well, I wonder how much King will sell these for...$1100 maybe?
Gamechewer 11-12-2008, 12:27 PM You need to work on your math. He'd be able to buy a couple of sets of mirrors if 1k members gave him 10 dollars each.

12 sets and one single side to be exact!
Stephen83 11-13-2008, 01:04 AM Here it is again back on sale (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110311396148&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNARL:MOTORS:1123).
They are headed and have tilt motor. Still WAY too expensive for the average Accordian...If i were to get it i would have to be $150 or less.
taffwh2008sedan 11-13-2008, 02:23 AM have tilt motor.
And how are you supposed to make that feature work when our cars don't have the supporting hardware?
Stephen83 11-13-2008, 04:38 AM And how are you supposed to make that feature work when our cars don't have the supporting hardware?
Dont shoot the messenger!... i have no idea
