yesterday evening had my windows tinted with v-kool 70% . my initial impressions are that it looks very clear . but there is a slight glare on the inside of the windows when you are looking out . i mean it as this- say if you have something sitting on the front seat and look out the pass side window , you will see the reflection of whatever is sitting in the seat .this is due to the metalized tint .

my back windows are tinted with ceramic tint from formula one . there is less glare, with almost same performance . i never really considered the inside glare a factor when choosing tints .

id go ceramic all around for the low glare if i could , but here in Cali there is a no tint law on the sides ,so virtually colorless v-kool was the answer . [ sorry about sentance structure]

so how exactly does this work? I looked on the site but still kinda confusing haha - so say your sitting in the front will the sun go through the window and and still bother u? I guess I'm trying to say does it work like regular tint? Just w/o the color? Oh and can you get this from any tinting place??

Over last five years, I've been ticketed twice in Sacramento area for tinted windows, actually both times were in Rocklin. And each were a different vehicle. In Calif, your allowed to tint the rear sides and rear windows any tint level you like, but you cant touch the front drivers compartment windows.
Has anyone heard of the electrical charged window tinting systems? I've heard talk there is such a system where the tinting on a window with this systems changes by applying electrical charge.

The "electrical charged" is based on LCD technology, not sure and certainly haven't heard of any for automotive windows.

If nothing else the LCD glass will have a finite thickness and cannot be flexible, so it would be difficult to develope something that would fit all cars and the thickness may very well prevent the window glass from being rolled down, the LCD glass may also be a safety issue and liability during an accident.

I've read about residentual/industrial use of LCD windows many years ago, however cost and safety issue will likely be the main obstacles for quite some to come in an automotive application.
